Does anybody know how the ticket sales are going for this game? It would be nice to see a fair few of the regular Blaze fans pop along to tommorows game to pay their respects to Thommo. I aint usually into going to testimonials or even normal Challenge matches because they aint very competitive but I think I'l be making an exception for this one.

Yeh as RichBlaze said, Challenge matches are pretty boring and i don't tend to go to them either, but this is definatley worth going to. Get down to the Skydome, for what i'm sure will be a very fun night.

Hope to hear the "You're not fit to referee" chant tonite. ;D
Should be a great night, lots of laughs and hopefully lots of noise. All Blaze fans should be there to show their appreciation for Thommo.

Fair enough TH ain't gonna do it, but don't forget Dennis Maxwell is that sort of a player, he could quite easily 'forget' about the non-contact......... So much for Maxwell being "that sort of player" Shame on the people who actually thought that anything other than a good laugh would come out of Thommos Testimonial game tonight. On a more positive note, it was great to see all the old Blaze players back at the Dome tonight ;D Thommo seemed to have a good night, so that's all that matters. How poor was Andre though, he was supposed to be reffing, not chatting to the players on the bench I was a little bit gutted that Andre and Kurt didn't cross paths, i thought that would have been very entertaining. Anyway, it was a good night - great to see so many Blaze fans turn up and show there appreciation to the greatest British Ice Hockey coach of all time. "We saw Thommo Score" etc..

Just got back from the game. All the people involved seemed to enjoy themselves and I guess thats what tonight was all about really. From a fans point of view though it was more like a pantomine than an ice hockey match with the referee and linesmen constantly turning their backs on the game and missing things. Also the word I would use to describe all of the officials performances is inconsistant. It would have also been nice to see the players try a bit more in the penalty shootout rather than showboating trying to entertain the crowd. The only real plus point from a serious ice hockey point of view is that Danny Shea did well between the pipes. Hopefully we will see him in action at least once against Belfast this weekend. And one more thing I was very dissapointed that Andre didn't keep his promise of sending Thommo to the penalty box.

I enjoyed it as a good natured light relief which made a welcome respite after the nervous games of the past few weeks with so much at stake.
Looking forward to the Carps one at the end of April too.
Those who stayed away missed a treat

The idea was for them all to have a bit of fun and the refs weren't meant to be making calls like a usual game etc. The important thing is Thommo got the night and the turn out he deserved.
