Fair enough TH ain't gonna do it, but don't forget Dennis Maxwell is that sort of a player, he could quite easily 'forget' about the non-contact......... Nothing like that would EVER happen

I forgot about Dennis Maxwell but even though he is usually a physical player he'l have no reason to deliberatly try and injure a Blaze player because I doubt the Racers will still be in with a chance of winning the title by that stage of the season.

Okay I'm gonna play devils advocate here regarding the Maxwell fears, What is to stop Andre, Wade et al taking him out when he doesn't have his normal back up at hand- it works both ways.
The game itself will be a fun one as all concerned have the utmost respect for Thommo

I think people are being a tad cynical here! Thommo is extremely well respected and this is shown by TEXT the coaches agreeing to play in the first place.
It will be a game played in the spirit it is meant to be played in. These guys are professionals in every way and would not cheap shot anyone in a game of this nature. Can you imagine what it would do for thier reputations if they did?
A testimonial game is a fun light hearted game and I hope Thommo gets the support he deserves on the night.

I wonder if Rob Stewart will still play, following today's news/rumours.

I wonder if Rob Stewart will still play, following today's news/rumours. What rumours? Echoing Sallys point, I repeat that this should be a fun time game as a bit of light relief before the serious stuff later in the week. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see the Telford boys as well. Wonder if Dennis Maxwell will play the pantomime villain like Vezio did in the testimonial earlier in the season

Rumours with regards to Rob Stewart no longer being part of the Steelers organisation
This was apparently posted on Jeff Christian's own website but was then removed at Dave Simm's request...so no one knows apart from the Steelers organisation

I hope he stays as coach as I think he's doing a wonderful job this year

Yeh it should be a fun night. And even if anybody does try to cripple any of our players Jeff Christian style, Blaze are a strong unit we aint no one man team

Again I hope that everyone who has ever bought a final/semi final ticket will dig deep and get their butts along to this one

Wade is bringing some mates eh! Tie domi taught him the fighting ropes...Tie and Dennis Maxwell would be good to see...
I reserved my 5 tickets today. I have watched Blaze/Barons since 1984 and Thommo is a legend. My daughter loves him, nearly as much as Frenchie and Wade. Hope Frenchie plays, she may get her Ratcliffe Blaze 12 shirt signed.
If its not a sell out, then we Blaze/Barons fans should feel a tad ashamed.... I've never seen Thommo play, so that is worth the entrance money alone. If we get to see Thommo Checking Perry Doyle or Kurt, that would be brilliant.
Thanks for the memories Thommo.
