Saw a sign advertising that the other day, could become my new pre match bar, especially as I wasn't impressed with being ripped off in Old Orleans the other day.

Yeah, the Windmill is a good little pub. It's a nice pint in there, not too expensive, and the landlord will be investing in a big flat screen TV cause the one in there at the min is tiny! LOL Been told it should happen in the next week.
As far as I know, it is the only pub in the city showing Ice-Hockey, so come on everyone, lets get behind it and support the only pub showing our sport and catering for the hockey fans

Here's an update from the land of the mill There is now 10% off food for anyone wearing a hockey jersey! ;D (Match days only) We have a pre match drinks offers including buy 2 get one free on a selection of bottles. The new TV will be arriving soon, it was delayed as we have had problems getting permission from the council, being able to put a satalite dish on the side of the building as it is grade 2 listed. However that seems to be rectified now. Also for all the mums and dads out there, as we have extended our food hours on a Sunday (we're now serving food until 6pm), therefore we can allow Children in with any dining adult until that time. AND The new DVDs should be in by the end of the week.

Does the people at the Windmill know about the EPL play-offs coming up in April and if they do would they be doing a similar service?

I would imagine they do know about it mate, i was speaking to Angie on Sunday and i'm sure she mentioned she watched the EPL. Good little pub, i've mentioned to a few of my mates to go there as apose to Orleans.

Yep we're going to be offering the same deals for the EPL play offs as we do for the blaze games.
I'm looking into other ways of using the pub to the advantage of hockey fans, so if anyone has any ideas feel free to pm, post on this thread or pop in and see me at the pub
Ps the new TV has been ordered and we're awaiting delivery! :-)

Cheers for that Marco I have an update from the land of the mill ;D Firstly, I spoke to the big boss yesterday, and the new 37" plasma screen TV will be installed by Tuesday next week. . . . . Finally! And we have a new promo for hockey fans (both home and away) For every £1 a hockey fan spends (this includes food) on a home game day, before 10.30pm you will receive a raffle ticket. After the quiz we will draw a winning number and said number will win a case of beer. Either bud or becks or the like. (sugestions welcome) Once the fanzone is up and running, the winning number will be put on there, but until then we'll just need your name, and your phone number for you to be in with a chance of winning free beer! I hope everyone who came down Sunday had a good time, (I know I did! LOL) Robin and I would like to say a great big thank you to everyone for being so well behaved (we are the best fans in the league!) and making it such a memorable, enjoyable time. Well Done folks and Thank you! One last thing before I go, Is some one missing a light brown ladies size 8 coat? It was left by someone on Sunday night. Pop in and see me if it is yours.
