This weeks beer winner is number 97, D. Rice. Congratulations :-)
I've just spoken to him and as he is a jordie lad, he has asked me to keep hold of his beer til next season (well it's on way of keeping the fans in the pub LOL!)
While I'm randomly posting on here I thought I might as well say. . . . .
Massive thank you to all of the blaze fans who on sunday made Ryan and Becky feel so welcome (They're Robin's little brother and sister, from Selbey, who are staying for a week) They LOVED they hockey, they loved the fans and the atmosphere. I'd like to say thank you to all of the players who took the time to speak to them, and I'd like to say an enormous thank you to Steve Small who got their testimonial photo singed by the grand slam team tonight. It means an awfull lot to both Robin, Ryan, Becky and myself that folks took the time and effort to make their first hockey match such and enjoyable experiance. (becky is now trying to convince her mum and dad to be allowed to stay every weekend for 8 months of the year lol)
So THANK YOU ALL!!!

Just to let folks know that we haven't forgotten about the beer raffle this week. We have had a couple of crisises over the last few days so the draw has not yet been done. One of which is me being injured for the play offs, so I will not be attending I have bruised my coccys and can barely walk let alone sit. (Don't drink and dance on 4 inch heels folks!) After speaking to a few of the blaze players, I am happy to announce that some are very interested in the sugested blaze poker night. As some of the imports go home in a couple of weeks, this is going to have to be a bit of a rush job. So before I begin co-ordinating this I'd like to know if any fans are interested in playing texas hold em poker against some of the players. Just drop a post on here, pm me or leave a message at the bar if your interested. It would be a maximum of £5 buy in, £100 prize money. Don't worry if you can't play we'll do a training table where a Redtooth League champion will teach you. On a personal note, I think this is a great idea, and really hope you guys get behind it. . . . . No, honestly it's not because I want another shot at beating Matt Soderstrom! ;D

Hey Everyone, sorry for the quiet period, been busy for the last couple of weeks. Heres you up date:
I've spoken to Sally, the poker night is a go, but not til the start of the season. Most players have gone home now, so after much discussion we have decided to hold it the early part of next season.
The next thing coming up is a Dr and Nurses night. 5th May (thats bank holiday monday folks).
There wil be prizes for best dressed Dr and best dressed Nurse. A charity auction and raffle (the charity being Maya Skippen, she's a 7 year old ice hockey fan who need to go to the State for treatment, to have a shot at life. Pls check her out on face book.) The prizes for these include a signed Blaze hockey stick, various meals here at the mill, pub merchandise, from t shirts to sets of glasses, key rings, optics, guinness stuff, loads of diffrent things as well as your usual wine and beer.
There will be a host of games to play, operation, a biology quiz, and anything else I can come up with between now and then. All in all it is shaping up to be a really fun night.
So don't let me down, pop in for a pint ;D See you all there x x x

The website will be going ahead, it has been knocked back slightly because we've been having trouble finding a suitable host...we are hoping to have the site up and running before the start of the new season. If you would still like to be the main sponsor, that is superb and i'll send details as and when their available (ASAP) Cheers mate!

Hiya everyone! So the new season is vertually upon us, so I thought I'd take this oppertunity to remind everyone what is going to be on offer in the land of the mill ;D I'm happy to say that we have seen a number of hockey faces already and we're looking forward to a great season, building on the brillianat atmosphere of last season! The offers and events are much the same as last season, however we're open to suggestion and if anyone wants something spesific you can contact either my self or Robin and we'll see what we can do Every Home Match day we will be holding a beer raffle. For every pound you spend, you will be given a free raffle ticket. (pls remember to give us a contact phone numer) At 11pm the winning number will be drawn, the prize being as I am sure you have all worked out, a crate of beer. We have various drinks offers including by 2 get 1 free on Bud, Cornona, Smernoff ice and Becks, as well as cheap doubles on selcted spirits. (ask at the bar for further details). We have 10% off food for anyone wearing a ice hoceky jersey on home game days, and we can happliy announce that parents with children are allowed in this season! (Black room or brewhouse only after the game please). Pre match DVDs of past games will be shown in the Brewhouse (3pm). I'm currently trying to get hold of other clubs to see if it is possible to perchase copies of our away games for broadcasting (if anyone has any info etc that could speed up the process I'd be greatful for it)! We're also considering running a poll once a month to decide what game will be shown on the last Sunday pcm. Who fancies reliving some classic Blaze moments? Suggestions for which classic Blaze games are always welcome, either post on here, pm me, phone, text or pop into the Mill. So that is pretty much it form me. I'll post as regularly as I can to keep everyone up dated, (I have started my new job now so I have less free time, but I'll do my best). See you all Wednesday I have one last thing to say; COME ON YOU BLAZE!!!
