With a pretty perfect team this season, what changes will Thommo make for next season? Who do you think will stay/go? The obvious one to go is Wade, as he's only here while the NHL is locked-out, but what about the rest..?

I reckon Russ, Ashley and James will definately be here, no reason to think Jody will want to go home yet so i also reckon he will be back, very hard to say about anyone else.

I reckon you can discount
Wade lockout chris back to the Ahl or quit. andre league not to his style of play.
After that its crystal ball stuff, if its 10 imports we have to promote or bring in one more brit i would think peasey has proved he is good enough to do that.
Certainly i would love to see all the rest back which would give us a settled side .
Main choice would be do you go for 3 or 4 imports on the D i would imagine.
but hey this is ice hockey probably be 12 imports anyway.

Blaze have done well this season, we have the most complete team in the EIHL and seem to have a settled team. I reckon Thommo will stay loyal to most of the current players for them reasons. If you remember the season we won the BNL Double Kurt Irvine was the only player he got rid of as Shudra and Moby both left by choice. Also with Wade, Andre and Chrissy Mac almost certain to leave (and I have a feeling Lukac will go) Thommo's main aim will be to find suitable replacements for them.

Chrissy Mac is rumoured to be retiring full stop at the end of this season.
I would hope we retain Calder and Carlson and recruit an Andre type enforcer to allow them to play to their maximum again

McNamara is amazing, one of the best forwards in the league - i can't believe he'd just retire (but if it's what he wants, then fair play to him)
As for Neal Martin, 'the best D man in the league' i'd love for him to stay with the Blaze, he's just class!
Although a shame that Andre looks certain to leave, i'd love for him to return for another season.
Jody 'best goalie in the league' hope he stays, he's had an excellent few weeks between the pipes, hope he keeps it up.
...Thommo knows what he's doing, he'll come back next season with an excellent team (like this seasons)

Also like to see Schlends remain and continue his incredible development into a top quality guy before too long

I think every player has improved since last season, look at Peasy for one, he's REALLY turned up his game ...(showing Thommo that he 'deserves' his spot on the Blaze roster)

If I were a betting man I would wager on Jody being year for a while yet which would be brilliant. Also nobody has mentioned Doug yet- the unsung hero at times

I've heard a worrying whisper that Neal might be poached, Squeelers in particular mentioned. Like OB I can cope with him going (just) but NOT to another British team !

A player last nite at the bowling nite said he was going home for in the close season, but coming back to coventry business school next year.
McNamara said that so maybe he isnt retiring

I'm pretty sure Andre will go, but if we bring in another Andre type character i won't worry to much.I think dan Carlson will stay may be Adam as well.Pavol i hope stays as well as Lukac. On a side note if they are dropping the import number to 10, i hope they can find brits good enough. Its all very well having brits if they are good enough, but i don't see the point in having them if the standard would drop because may be they arn't skilled enough. I mean have brits by all means if they are good enough, not for the sake of having them.
