i heard belak played a great game and imo they may have given it to him for a couple of reasons.
right before the match i'm sure he heard the news that the NHL season was cancelled. but he didn't let it get him down or distract him and came out and played his heart out. you gotta give him credit for that.

Beer girl..i have to say on behalf of all blaze fans that it was the best we have ever seen from Wade since he has joined us.... He has had a few dodgy games,,,,but the past couple of weeks he has gone up a couple of notches Tonight...he was magnificent....throwing his body in fron of shots....checking like a demon....and rushing up the ice in support of the attacks...and getting a well taken one on one...and could have had a hat trick with a little more luck.......totally awesome....and as for clearing the net......well i dont need to tell you how good he is at that do i...... sorry to hear of the cancellation of the season....but please know that with wade playing like this for us...we are more than happy to keep him out of trouble for you.....lol...We know the chances of him playing for us next season are minimal to say the least......but he is a key element in the best Team we have ever seen in blaze colours.......we are just enjoying it as long as it lasts

yeah, have to agree Wade was immense tonight. Well deserved man of the match award. I found it quite funny when the crowd all cheered like mad when they found out that the NHL season had been cancelled, obviously a shame for NHL fans, but in turn it is quality news for us Blaze fans (and other fans in the country with NHLers in their teams)
One more thing, whilst reading the program tonight i found out that the Challenge Cup is supposedly 3 foot tall............bloody hell, that would have engulfed Vezio if he had to pick that up!! lol

Apart from the 6 Blaze goals ;D the Schlender V Davison fight was one of the best moments in last nights game. 12 months ago Graham Schlender would have lost that fight eassily because although he was strong he lacked the experience of dropping um with the big boys and his fighting style was a bit rusty. But now he can hold is own with the best and biggest of them.

Yes, Wade was everywhere last night. Can't wait to see him check Thommo on 9th March!
Biggest losing margin in regulation for Blaze this season is 2 goals and we have only been shut out once. We have conceded four goals twice in regulation time (at home Devils 2-4) and (away Bison 4-4). We have yet to concede 5 goals and its a pretty good bet we will score a couple.
Best part of atmostphere for me was when we sang "Shaddup Your Face" after Cardiff fans thought they had scored....Priceless!!

Effectively Cardiff need to beat us by 6 clear goals. Now I stand to be corrected but the biggest competitive defeats I can recall are 7-2 away at Nottingham last year and a 5-0 reverse at home versus Dundee on the day we were presented with the BNL title and we weren't that bothered about exerting excess energy then.
Just hope I haven't jinxed things but will be taking my Devils shirt with me next week as we have never been beaten at the WNIR when I have taken it ;D

Yes it was. Dundee beat us 5-0 the week after we won the title on February 15th 2003 (a game I missed) then on the 15th February 2004 Nottingham beat us by the same scoreline. That was also a game I missed as I was in Edinburgh watching the Capitals take on Bracknell Bees Another big defeat was on 6th October 2003 when Nottingham Panthers beat us 6-1 at the Sky Dome in the Super League Challange Cup.

I'd forgotten about that reverse. Panthers were a different force then

Another big defeat was on 6th October 2003 when Nottingham Panthers beat us 6-1 at the Sky Dome in the Super League Challange Cup. If i remember correctly, that could have been 7-1 to the Panthers as i think Dody Wood missed a penalty shot after Jody had been caught throwing his stick towards the oncoming attacker and puck!

I just realised it was 2002 when the Panthers beat us 6-1 not 2003 like I first posted. Some stato I am.

Back on topic: What is everyone taking to Cardiff, for the 'PARTY' I know the B2P will be taking party poppers, party hats, streamers etc... We've got to let the Welsh know that we've won the Challenge Cup ;D (Yes i know it's not over yet, but it's best to go prepared) Everyone else...
