Fantastic game last night. At 4-1 down I was a bit worried but I always knew Blaze wouldn't let us down because they never do. Fair play to Jody fantastic on the night, fair play to the fans sang from start to finnish, fair play to the captain. He lifted the cup.

From where I was there only appeared to be three one-on-one fights. All of the others involved several member of both teams jumping in.
Craighead vs Payette - win Craighead Craighead vs Payette - edge Payette Belak vs Romaniuk - win Belak
Fair play to Wade who wasn't just acting as an enforcer in that fight, but basically taking Russ Romaniuk to the woodshed for that disgusting check on Neal Martin.
I'd like to personally thank Jason Puck-in-net for giving us the Challenge Cup ;D, we all love him.

Haha the Jason "Puck In Net" nickname has made the Coventry Evening Telegraph. Whoever made that up fair play.
And that was one hell of a cut on Romaniuk's face given to him by Wade Belak. I know I shouldn't say this as it goes against good sportsmanship and all that but nice one Wade. Romaniuk deserved it anyway for deliberatly trying to take Martin out of the game and possibly even trying to end his season.

no way was the secound fight with payette and craighead a draw payette had craighead to the floor and beatinghim at the end so i think payette won fairly in that one and where did the cardiff fans go when we were singin they all vanished!!

Considering the game was supposed to be a sellout there were a lot of empty seats in the Devils end of the arena.

nothing ticks belak off more than someone cheap shotting someone on his team..especially if the guy happens to be his partner. i remember last year steve mckenna speared a leaf player in the groin and belak literally dragged him from the bottom of the pile to put a whoopin' on him. you were so right about it not being anything about enforcing. that was a lesson taught and a warning given. if romaniuk even looks at a blaze player wrong again he'll pay and pay big. when he enforces, he never looks that mad...but when he's mad, look out!

Finally got round to commenting on the game (Diary to come out next week) and thought of the many elequent and articulate ways to phrase the tumultuous events that occurred with such a nail biting rollercoaster thrill-a-minute excitement and tension that we were served in the name of entertainment, but decided on just one word. SORTED
