Neh I just didn't like the job-application style posts, thought they were a bit lame!
I also think including all the members in the debate over who should or shouldn't be a moderator shows a lack of control (which I've already experienced) at the top.
Just my opinion though, not trying to do a Wheeler or anything.
...: )
Edited for swearing

I feel that sometimes members of this forum are not being able to voice their opinions because of ONE mod not all. Occasionally the "sometimes" can slip into "all the time" territory too, and several victims have already been had... True

I think the spirit of openess in this debate will help the mods in the long run as it is kind of like a market research survey when you think about it. Sometimes the kind of feedback you can get is akin to striking gold for the future benefit of this vehicle

KR, I can see why you might not be to keen on this forum and why you don't post to much anymore. I don't feel much different. Thats why I am liking the fact that the moderators are letting this thread flow and that people are posting on it. It appears that positive steps are being made to make this forum better.

But Rich the key idea is that SOME steps are being taken to make this forum better. there are still many factor that hold it back. The personal grudge type thing is one of a few reasons some people just don't post. A clique type forum is another reason.

Dangerous territory here...
However, grudges being allowed to flourish in public is never a good thing...it can be argued that there were several cases of this last year on the forum...and this helped neither side in the long run, as both could be said to have acted less than intelligently at times in all cases...
The problem seems to be that mods aren't acting as a unit...in the past forum policies were implemented in different ways and latitude was given (or at least seemed to be) to do so...which could lead to the situation of trying to play one mod off against another.
Although it has to be said that steps are obviously being taken to bring the group together...one gets a sense of a much more unified front now.
The balance of sexes in the mods is also, in my view, crucial...this way the viewpoints are equally represented and thus any questions of gender bias can be answered strongly...

Glad to see the people are happy. I have a question though. Is this forum becoming more than just a hockey forum with its ever expanding topics involved?

No Sorry there, but in all fairness its just a forum, it offers nowt else. Now, had it offered a forum, plus website with stats interviews etc, the dragons den works well IMO
