Well after the second half performance against Burnley on Saturday I'd say its not looking to good. With the current set of players I think the only way we'l survive is if Gillingham and Forest keep losing. However I am a City fan so I am going to stick my neck on the line and vote yes as hopefully Micky Adams will be able to bring in the players he is after to give us a fighting chance. Also although most my predictions about football come true I havn't predicted anything right about City for a long time so law of average is on my side

It will be a real struggle to get in decent players at this point of the season and hope they settle in immediately.
I predict they will go down but the demotion should give them a chance to regroup and enjoy a season with more wins than losses which should help their attendances to grow a bit as many casuals will be drawn to a succesful side as opposed to a struggling one. Also if they only just survive this year then every year will be a relegation battle for a while after
I remember the chairman saying they wanted to not be in the Championship (2nd flight) when they played their first match in the new stadium.

That would be amazing if the first game at the Foleshill arena was to be Cov versus Yeovil as when the new stadium was initially mooted Cov were in the Premiership and Yeovil non-league.
Have to say if they were to go down and the prices were reduced in line with the expected quality I might go to a few more games to see teams I never have before.

Thats probably true. City's greatest ever achievment other than winning the FA Cup is that they stayed in the top flight for 34 years but that may have been the clubs downfall. If they had been relegated a few years earlia when it was easier for teams to get straight back up again the fans might have stayed interested like at Norwich, Ipswich and Crystal Palace who have gone up and down a lot over the years. But unfortunatly with City the fans got used to be an established top flight side for so long so when they got relegated and didn't come straight back up some probably found it a real culture shock and lost interest.

Two more signings for City. One I think will do good the other I am not to sure about. It was a clever move by Micky Adams getting a new goalkeeper in on a months loan because although Steele has done good on the whole this season he has made some costly mistakes probably due to inexperience. Scot Shearer was the same before Peter Reid dropped him. Ian Bennett has been playing in the top two divisions for the past 9 years so costly errors shouldn't come as regular. As for Trevor Benjamin well I don't really know a lot about him, I know he has got a reputation for being rubbish but I also know he has got some Premiership experience and he is only 25 so at least he aint a has been. From what I have heard he isn't the most gifted footballer in the World but he is big and strong so can hopefully hold the ball up and be effective. Negouai (another Micky Adams loan signing) looked effective before he got injured.

Think you'll find Benjamin is another Adebola or Stern John. I recall someone saying he played against Cov twice in the same month for two different teams he was loaned out to, so nobody seems to want him to stay for too long.
What you need right now is some good experience and a bit of bottle to fight the drop and regroup next season in whichever league. At present you have too many inexperienced players and too many unskilled journeymen

After todays result I don't believe I even started this poll Its Coventry we're talking about here. Everyones heard the saying "If The Titanic Was Painted Sky Blue It Would Never Have Sank" apart from in 2001 but why let one bad year spoil a good saying Just after half-time when I saw Gillingham were winning and we were 1-0 down I was a bit worried but it sounds as though Benjamin did everything you want a player like him to do, created 2 goals for CCFC's Mr 110% (but maybe slightly overated) Gary McSheffrey and the fastest player over the yard Stern John.

But it is always Reading 1 Coventry 2 as I have seen two previos games there with the same score!! The bottom of the league is still too tight. Mind you Reading are on a very poor run at the moment so were there for the taking

Did Cov really win today I thought i was dreaming. Maybe they still have a little fight left in them to keep them in the same division. They used to avoid relegation alot when they were in the Prem, even when it looked like they were going down. I still hope in a non evil way that they do go down though (Cov Vs Yeovil ;D )

I hope City go down....that way my team will stay up. A vital point away at Wolves today...come on Gillingham...
As for whether they will stay up-I can't see it happening.

Yesterday was the first game City have won this season that I never went to. I was getting a bit worried that they couldn't win without me especially since I decided I aint going to anymore away games this season except for maybe Sunderland and Crew IF its must win to stay up. I can relax now though Role on Wigan at home on Wednesday night now, forget the Champions League, Highfield Road is where the real excitment is going to be taking place

I think for CCFC to stay up they need to eke out a fair few points by playing ugly. Rotherham look buried along with Forest so that would make CCFC Gillingham and one or two others to battle out for the final scraps.
P.S if you remove the Y & O from Yeovil look what you are left with ;D

Another new signing for City. The boy is coming home. Marcus Hall. I remember when he first broke into the City first team (when he lived across the road from me). I thought that he would turn out to be a great player as in a future England international. Afterall he did get called up for the Under 21's and "B" Team. As he got older though he didn't quite live up to his potential. He was always strong and quick and liked to get forward but he lacked the skill. His crossing was almost as bad as Barry Quinn's. I think Gordon Strachan signed him for Southampton and after a brief spell where he struggled to get into the team he moved to Stoke where he bacame a regular in the first team. Playing for Stoke may not be like playing for England but its no faliure. I'm glad we have got him back because he isn't passed it like Staunton and he has some experience unlike Giddings. Giddings will turn out to be a good player but when your in the position City are in experience is crucial. So the Wigan game on Wednesday could see Marcus Hall and Gary McSheffrey both in the team with Stuart Giddings on the bench. Whats better than having Coventrians playing for Coventry City providing they can do the business?
Robert Page could be signing from Cardiff too and also Scot Gemmil, the man who was part of that fantastic Nottingham Forest team in the early 90's alongside Stuart Pearce, Mark Crossley, Nigel Clough and Des Walker.
