I'm looking forward to welcoming the Giants to the Skydome on Sunday. It'll be great to see Tony Hand back on the ice here in coventry.
My scoreline predictions for this game is:
Blaze 5 Giants 3
Let's hope Blaze can keep up there good results and open the EIHL with a 4 point weekend (hopefully beating the Bison on the saturday) ;D

Yeah deffinately, it'd be excellent for the Blaze to pick up a 4 point weekend. I think playing Belfast on the sunday will be a very tough game! Belfast are full strengthed and won't get bullied. If Payette and Anglestad come together I'd think Andre would lose the fight as well.
Hopefully I can go to both if not then Belfast will do.

According to a few reports that i've heard......one of the Belfast players, Diamurd Kelly, is supposed to be really good. And also this Swede, Fredrik Nasvell (sp?). Its going to be tough.

Yeah, Belfast seem to have this way with signing goons don't they.. Andre would do well to avoid Mad Mel ;D
I think i'm going to this one so i'll go for 3-3 after OT.

I predict 2-0, with Joel to get the first goal, and Doug Schueller to get the other.

Hopefully a win in Basingstoke will be followed by a win against Belfast at the Sky Dome. It would be good to be able to sing "We Are Top Of The League"

There is a group of 7 of us going to this game travelling down from Sheffield on Sunday morning. Where will everyone be before/after the game. I know it's a Sunday night but surely some fans will be somewhere. Don't want to go to the game then end up having to go straight to the hotel

An average display from the Blaze tonight, they weren't as impressive as they were last night against the Bison. Falling 2 goals behind (3-1) in the third period, the Blaze looked as if they were a beaten team. Well done to Neal Martin for scoring just when we needed it (with 7 minutes remaining) making it (3-2) and getting the Blaze back in the game. It was really intense from then on in, Blaze needed a goal to draw level and they got it thanks to Mr 110% JOEL POIRIER Neal Martin deserved MOM, stayed strong at the back all game! 2 point weekend - it could have been worse! COME ON BLAZE!!! P.S well done to the Devils for beating the Panthers

I enjoyed tonights game and I think the Blaze do look like a team capable of doing something this season. Neal Martin had a great performance on the defence and scored a great goal. Belfast looked good as well and I would just like to give a special mention to Tony Hand, he seems to have got a good team together at the Giants and also he can still do the business on the ice as a player. He isn't as fast as he used to be but he still has that fantastic vision, which is part the reason he is concidered to be the Wayne Gretzky of British Ice Hockey. It was an amazing pass by Hand that set up their first goal.
