1 - You agree to take full responsibility for your comments, even in the case of legal proceedings as a result of your comments.
2 - This is a forum for all ages, please refrain from using bad language. The includes using ways to blank out swear words such as "*****" and also the use of swear words in a foreign language.Penalty: Warning
3 - Do not post anything that may cause an argument between members Penalty: Warning
4 - Any posts which the moderators regard as abusive or offensive will be deleted Penalty:Warning to Strike
5 – Please try to keep on topic No penalty unless repeatedly abused by one user
6 - No repeat advertisements of websites. Only announce your site once No penalty to warning
7 - Don't use too much text-talk. A little is fine but some people have difficulties understanding some text talk. Also please use punctuation in your posts. Posts without punctuation can get very confusing. Penalty: If over the top or repeatedly used by a user, Warning. If user STILL abuses this, then a strike will be issued.
8 - Please don't fill subject titles with loads of '!' or '?' signs, such as “WHATS THE SCORE?!!!!!!!! Penalty: If a user repeatedly abuses this, warning
9 - Avoid starting new threads for topics which already have threads. Penalty: If a user repeatedly abuses this, warning
10 – Please do not double-post, use the “Edit” button to modify your previous post Penalty: If a user repeatedly abuses this, warning. If a user STILL continues to abuse this, then a strike will be issued.
11 - No posting of pornographic images or of links to sites containing pornography or other adult material. This includes any websites where the user is asked to confirm that they are over 18. If you are unsure whether a link is ok to post, either don't post it, or send it to a staff member so we can decide. Penalty: 1,2 or 3 strikes (Instant Banning) depending on severity
11B - No links to gambling/betting websites.
Penalty: Warning if rule is broken once, strike for any repeat offenders.
12 - Try to post on the correct board (i.e. scores in “Scoreboard” and Blaze news in “Coventry Blaze”) Penalty: If a user repeatedly abuses this, warning
13 - If you have been temporarily banned from the Blaze Forum for any reason, DO NOT attempt to sign up again under a different name and/or e-mail address. If you do and you are caught, then you will receive a permanent ban from the forum.
14 - Do not use an offensive username, signature, or avatar. If we consider your username, signature or avatar to be offensive then we will PM you asking you to change it. If it is not changed within 24 hours then your username, signature or avatar will be changed by a staff member. Should you change your username, signature or avatar back to what it was, then you will receive a warning. If you continue to change your username, signature or avatar back then you will receive a strike.
15 - No bunnying anywhere on the forum. Penalty: If a user repeatedly abuses this, warning
16 - No hot-linking of photos or other material from other websites. If you want to post an image then please save it to your computer and upload the image to an image hosting service. If you are unsure how to do this, you may find this guide helpful. Penalty: If a user repeatedly abuses this, warning
17 - No trolling on the forum. Penalty: If a user repeatedly abuses this, warning.
If, in the staff's opinion, you have signed up with the sole intention of trolling, you will receive a strike and a possible ban.
18 - The Dragon's Den is not responsible for the content of external links. Some links may contain material that is not suitable for younger members.
For example: Some Youtube videos have comments that contain bad language, we feel it would be unfair to ban links such as this, it is up to the user to decide if they visit any links posted.
19 - Admin's decisions are final.
Shoutbox rules.
1. All forum rules apply to the shoutbox, however:
Swearing on the shoutbox will result in an instant 3 day - 1 week ban (depending on the severity.)
This may seem harsh however we cannot edit posts on the shoutbox so we need to be harsh.
The Strike System.
The way this will work is very simple.
Every member will be allowed three strikes. Every separate occasion that a rule is broken will mean one strike for that member. If a member should receive three strikes, then they will be banned from the forum.
If the rule that is broken is a very serious one, such as posting pornographic images, then the member may be banned instantly, regardless of how many strikes they have received before.
This also applies if many rules are broken at once. If 5 or more rules are broken by one member at once, then they may receive more than one strike.
Members who receive a strike will be notified by a PM as well as an e-mail. This will include reasons as to why a strike has been given and also how many strikes that user currently has.
The number of strikes you have will also appear as a percentage in your "Mini-profile" (The section on every post that contains your avatar, member status, number of posts etc)
33% = 1 strike
66% = 2 strikes
100% = 3 strikes
This warning bar will be visible to staff members and the member warned ONLY. No other user will be able to see another users warning level.
