www.sheffieldsteelers.co.uk/home/index.htmlI'm sure the league won't make its decison based on this poll but just in case get on there and vote for Blaze to take our rightful place in the Charity Shield instead of Team Hollywood.

Sheffield won the double so should be able to choose.
They will pick Nottingham because of the money which is good as its for charity after all.

From a financial perspective Sheffield V Nottingham would raise a lot more money. However it is supposed to be ice hockey's equivlent of the Community Shield in football and in cases when a team wins the double in football, the Premiership runners/up play the Champions.

Money talks Besides given how poorly the Coventry fans supported it last year you can see why the organisers may have other plans.

Rules are rules though, the rules should be stuck by, meaning it should be Sheffield V Coventry. If its going to be Sheffield V Nottingham this year then they might as well just make it between those two teams every year regardless of what they both win or where they finnish in the league.

That's probably the best idea really as it's the only fixture that will generate revenue at that point in the season

Surly it should be Steelers vs Giants? Not really "The biggest rivalry in European hockey" (Copyright D. Simms) is the biggest draw in the British game and would have no trouble shifting 5000 tickets
