I just read the post on the elite league website about the league next year, and Basingstoke weren't mentioned, but the other teams were. Does anyone know if they're going to enter a team next season?

Basingstoke announced a couple of weeks ago that they will play in EPL next year.
As I understand it, they have had no end of troubles this season and made a negative profit, hence the move. I don't know that the decision was directly influenced by the rumours flying round in the last week.
I'm sure somebody more knowledgeable than me will be along shortly with all the facts.

I agree. We've been down there twice this season.
I'm not entirely impressed by their rink because it is so difficult to see into the top corner but they do have a Costa Coffee which is much better than the sometimes variable offrings we get in the SkyDome. And I was impressed by their Herd of fans who still got behind their club despite their record losing streak. I hope they have better fortunes in their new league.
We also took the opportunity (not sure I should admit this) of visiting Heston Blumenthal's Big Chef/Little Chef and were very much impressed by the offerings. OK, it's still preprepared, heat up on site but the quality and flavour of the food seemed so much better than out previous unfortunate visit. I still wouldn't visit any other Little Chef but I would visit one of the new ones if it were in a convenient location for a quick bite to eat.
