It's been a while now that we haven't had it all our way, but I've always felt that Thommo's best teams always come after a bad year.... well not really a bad year, but not a winning one! I think Thommo's at his best when he has someone to beat. I'm sure Sheffield will try to keep their team the same for next year and that leaves all of the other teams a goal to aim for. The last couple of years everyone else were aiming to beat us and Steelers done just that. I have faith that we'll be back on top for 09/10 season.

Hopefully there will be many changes as most of the team only seemed to turn up to collect their wages this year. Very little heart in comparison to previous years.

Rumours that Hirsch is on his way.... Not officially confirmed yet I don't think but it's looking more and more likely. A newspaper in Denmark has confirmed it, I still wouldn't believe it until it's confirmed by either Blaze or his former club though. Link to article (In Danish): www.sporten.dk/ishockey/arets-spiller-til-tysklandRough translation of bottom paragraph: "Apart from Mads Christensen and Patrick Galbraith is also the former national team keeper Peter Hirsch abroad. The next season he played for Coventry in the British league, and thus paved the way for a national comeback for Peter Hirsch after a tumultuous season in which he was the wreck of AaB and later rented out to Timrå and Oskarshamn" Apparently it's a good as confirmed when written by this site.

Assuming Hirsch plays at the same level he was a few seasons Blaze will have bagged themselves a guy that will be very difficult to top in the "best nettie in the league" stakes
