Well, he has signed as a player-coach......but not with Blaze.

Cloutier named player-coach
Excel Hull Stingrays have announced the appointment of Sylvain Cloutier as their new player-coach on a two-year contract.
The 35-year-old Canadian, who made seven appearances in the National Hockey League for Chicago Blackhawks in the 1998/99 season, takes over at Hull Arena from Rick Strachan, who had been in charge for the past six years.
As captain he lifted the Elite League trophy and British Knockout Cup for Coventry Blaze but retired last summer to become head coach of Corpus Christi Ice Rays of the Central Hockey League. He was released from his duties in February but has now accepted a deal with the Stingrays and will don the skates again for the next two seasons.
A club statement read: "We are really happy to have found the right man for the job so quickly. It gives him the most available time to build a squad for next season. He is a great player and has great leadership skills and it didn't take very long to get the deal done."
