Fantastic support at all three of their visits to the Sky Dome in the league this season. They remind me of what we used to be like, the least hostile bunch of fans in the league too. They've gone four season's without a league title, so hope they enjoy every minute of this success.

I thought some of their actions were disgusting. Yes they showed alot of support for their team, but I saw alot of foul gestures and words being said.

The behaviour of the Steelers fans at the Skydome on Sunday was unbelievable. Shouting and chanting whilst the kids were trying to do the National Anthem was totally unacceptable. I had a lot of praise for their fans prior to Sundays game. They should be ashamed of themselves.
More like football holigans than ice hockey fans.

Given that we are universally despised as the worst fans in the country perhaps we should be a tad careful about complaining about others fans.
Aggressive coating wearing anyone?

It was prety bad when they were chanting over the National Anthem but to be honest I was standing right next to them kids and hadn't even noticed they had started singing, so how were Steelers fans on the other side of the rink supposed to know. They did stop chanting before the anthem had finnished. Anyway don't Blaze fans cut the anthem short every week so we can't really complain.

I just dont understand why everyone is saying that they couldnt hear the kids singing the anthem so thats why they carried on singing and chanting.
Every week is the same. The players come on, they skate around a bit and then line up on the blue lines. At that point everyone knows that the anthem is about to be played or performed. You dont have to be able to hear the start because you know exactly when its going to happen. And its the same at every rink I've been to.
There was no excuse for the fans singing over the anthem.
Sorry, just my opinion!

OK well I think anyone who intentially chants or even talks during the National Anthem should be warned and possibly ejected from the arena. Other than that though I have to say that Steelers have brought the best and most friendliest away support to the Sky Dome this season.

Hold a moment here I was at the game and when it went quiet for the anthem the first thing I heard was 'Come on blaze' and it came from block 2 I was opposite in block 14. Someone else then shouted from further down and before you knew it the Steelers fans started so lets not be so quick to lay the blame elsewhere. I also didn't hear the start of the anthem it was sung very quietly. I don't think it was right of the guy who stands on the ice with the mic to lay the blame totally at the Steelers door either both sets of supporters were to blame. I am only saying what I seen and heard of course everyone will have their own view.

Really I think they should have had the kids singing the anthem on centre ice so that everybody knew what was going on. Nevermind, whats done is done, worse things happen at sea.

I agree, and perhaps I didnt make myself clear - I was blaming both sets of fans! But I also agree that yes, we're over it now!!

I wonder if the result of the game was a positive one for Blaze whether this would even be mentioned.
Are you still aloud to fart in the Skydome, or is that banned? lol

I'm siding with the Steelers on this one. I was down that end of the rink and couldn't hear anything so why should they be quiet if they cannot hear/do not realise that it's started?! Also, their behaviour was nothing short of impeccable. I've always considered the Steelers fans to be the best in the league and the only thing they are guilty of is being passionate about their team.
Nothing to see here, move along now please...............

Everybody chants over the end of the anthem so what's the point of having it anyway? Nobody really cares they just want the game to start

Kind of agree about the anthem thing. How many other sports do they play the National Anthem before a domestic league game? Still whether or not we agree with them playing it they do play it so it should be respected by all fans of all teams.
Just to clarify, I am still saying Steelers have a good fanbase.
