The fixture has been getting increasing spicy comments and actions recently with a number of "incidents" being mentioned on messageboards the following day. Mostly it is one way comments coming from Panthers fans but Blaze fans do not tend to turn the other cheek which fans the flames somewhat.

I was there on Tuesday night and everything was OK, chatting to panthers fans through the evening and I there were many other blaze fans talking to panthers fans. It was a fantastic game, the down side was 'Darnell'. The ref is a joke!

It was a fantastic game, the down side was 'Darnell'. The ref is a joke! I noticed that Panthers fans were calling him a joke and moaning about the call he made for accidental high sticks. Seems he called it as per the rule book and it's the fans that don't know what they are talking about...... |

You may be right, I dont claim to know all the rules but some of the calls were pathetic. Darnell made poor calls both ways and then he called for too many men against the pathers and he hadnt seen they had taken the net minder off! Aside from that it was a superb game, very entertaining, edge of the seat hockey. Loved it!

I can understand about being asked not to go too far...
it would have been very disappointing to have ended up in Sheffield and to have missed that game. ;D
