Thommo said after the Vipers match the team had "a long bus trip up to Edinburgh tomorrow"
I don't want to sound patronizing because I know there must be a reason but surely flying would be far less fatiguing. The league is sponsored by bmi baby, you would have thought they would cover Edinburgh and Belfast, and perhaps even Newcastle which itself is a long way on a bus. I work in the aviation industry and all the London football teams (Tottenham, West Ham, Chelsea etc) all charter an aircraft if they have a match any further away than the Midlands.
Edinburgh is a hell of a trip, especially in a bus! Looking at AA routefinder you're easily into six hours from Coventry. I know they're young athletes but they must be shattered after a trip like that, especially on the back of a match the previous night.
Up the Blaze!

It's all down to money. Or a lack of.
Anyway, the imports should be used to it. 6 hour bus trips are usually their closest games back home.

It's a heck of a distance. I went from Cov to Berwick upon Tweed and that seemed to take forever. You'd think BMI Baby could arrange something. I guess they at least get to have a sleep going up and coming back. The wife and I have thought about going to an Edinburgh away game but if we did we'd probably fly. Then again with two drivers it isn't too bad.
On a good note the trip was worth it. Well done guys.

I've driven to edinburgh and back just for a game and it was an awesome experience!! Can't remember much from Northumberland back home, but i'm still here so it wasn't all that bad!!
Seriously though, it's quite a distance, but as Nick says All of the imports are used to it so there's no point changing how they get there.

I still remember them 8 hour return coach trips to Dundee back in the BNL Glory days. They were fun, although glad I wasn't driving.

Cold hard cash. If the money was there I'm sure they'd fly to stay fresh as the games are still important for play off placings if nothing else

As I understand it, the guys prefer the bus! They read, play music, chill out. whatever..
A plane involves bus to the airport, check all the bags in, that takes ages! Then you hang round for the flight, you get on a another bus to drive to the hotel...
They have the luxury bus with all the facilities they need, makes sense I think?
