Ok just for fun. Imagine you are the coach. You are allowed upto 5 (And make them realistic or at least possible) changes to lead on into the rest of the season.

Kelman and LeClair out.
Coleman to stay when Matty gets fit, Greg Wood is given Kelman's spot in amongst the 9 forwards.
Simple really.

I would worry the D then doesn't have enough offense and like Wood as much as I do, he won't get the points return of Kelman (granted Kelman's points tally is distinctly average anyway). I would just chop LeClair for Coleman and would replace Kelman for someone in the mould of Bergin.

1.Netminder not convinced JF can deliver in the big games , but would be last of changes as some of problems caused by weak defence this season he has been hung out to dry so many times it reminds me of the Klempa season.
2.Le Clair has to go, he is considered number 1 D man but is not good enough and knocked off puck too much, somebody had to replace Martin, and replacement will be compared to Le Clair rather than Martin so has a chance. If Leclair had been number 3 D man would have had a chance but this season we have had Weaver a number two and then Soderstrom and Jamieson number 4/5 D men and consequently never had a chance.
3 Soderstrom in ideal world but accept cheap and need to balance wage , but we need a big D men and a transitional D man and we currently lack both
4. Stewart injured or not doesnt put up the required points and too much of an individual on the puck hitting shots straight at the keeper to often when a player with vision would be creating chances for others.
5.Jamieson at times he looks ok but others he reminds me of a poor mans James Pease.
I would keep Kelman, I feel he his starting to show a bit more desire and the ability he clearly has would mean I would keep him and pray that as rthe big games come thick an dthin he starts to shine, this weekend though is make or break time not only for him but the team as a whole.
I have said since the start of November that the current team will finish no higher than 4th but would win a cup, if we dont make changes I have seen nothing the last few weeks to change my opinion

1) Remove the C from Calder's shirt. He's not a leader in my eyes and I have the feeling that the extra pressure is hindering his game. Give it to Weaver - who thrives as a C or Moore - in the hope that it inspires him to turn up every night.
2) LeClair for Coleman (already done). Concrete Corey has been a disaster. Who ever flogged this donkey to Thommo should win salesman of the year.
3) Nathan Gillies to replace Stewart (if he is out for the year)
4) Leigh Jamison released. Rubbish forward, even worse D man. This would allow Greg Wood to grab regular ice time.
5) Dan Cloutier to replace JF Perras (not that it will happen). I like JF. He's possibly the only summer signing that Thommo has got right but I'm not convinced he has what it takes to win those games that you have no right to win. Lehman and Koenig did and thats why we won the league.

Ref Nick's) 1) Have to admit with regards Calder, give it to Weaver, but how much would that efferct Calder's morale and could it cause dressing room unrest.
2) Sorted.
3) Gillies was average for the Steelers and might want more money than Stewart was on, similar player but Gillies is more consistently points productive.
4) Keep Jamo, there isn't exactly an abundence of available British talent and I think he is doing a decent job for us. He is here as a 5th d-man that can also add size to the forward lines if required, I think he is doing okay for us.
5) Keep Perras, I think we solid up the D and he will improve too although really I've liked Perras all season, he wasn't great when we got a hiding from Nottingham, but everyone has the odd bad night. He has the joint third in save percentage in the league and bare in mind he doesn't see as much rubber as other netties.
Chocice.
Weaver is one of the best transitional D-men in the league and admittedly we could do with Coleman or Matty being a bit bigger for clearing Perras's crease.
Keep Stewart if he is only out for a couple of weeks.
