Shame the Blaze have taken the hockey edge of xmas.
Another poor performance from the boys last night in Cardiff against a team 3 imports shy of their quota.
Apparently our D fell appart once more.
I was hoping the inclusion of Coleman would steady us at the back but its clear our worries wont be corrected so easily.
Lets hope Thommo can instil a little more confidence in the boys and fast. We need some leadership from our captains as well.
Roll on a better new year.

Hey John, the D were not good last night but as a team we didnt compete, we were second to every puck lost the battles in the corners and didnt really look like scoring all night. I know some of the Happy clappers think we should not be so negative but to make the trip down to a freezing Cardiff and watch that performance last night was no fun.

I was thinking of heading to Cardiff, found out the score and just thought 'phew'- I would not have been impressed. Does anyone know which three imports the Devils were missing?
The team are clearly low on confidence right now, last weekend they allowed eleven goals in, this is not what you expect of a Blaze side. Okay, it's easy to say 'well the fans are used to success and just because they lose a couple of games' etc, but the team really just aren't playing very well right now and if the team has any chance of retaining the league, it would be strongly in our advantage to take the points from the Devils tonight. I also just can't see the Steelers slipping up too many times this season. The game against the Devils tonight is huge, the team needs some confidence and we really need one or two players to step up to the plate and put on a great performance. A zero point weekend would be terrible psychologically and if the Steelers do the business again tonight, well a gap would certainly be developing.

Losing is one thing but many comments abound of losing without heart. If this is the case I do feel for those who travelled (Especially on Boxing Day) and may have felt let down.
That said we have kind of been spoiled over the years and when we look at the decade of near dominance one of the years will ultimately be the worst one.
My thoughts are that the squad just doesn't click as well as those in seasons goneby and a few players lack the attributes others may have had.
At the ned of the day it's only a game and not worth getting seriously depressed about.

OK things do not look as good as in previous seasons however it is still just about in our hands. Can't afford to slip up to many more times though.

Next weeks game is a must win for Blaze. Anything other than a 2 point margin yield over the Steelers will in my opinion probably see the title going on loan to the House Of Steel for a season.
