Simple question. Will Coventry Blaze win their Continental Cup group in Bolzano and make it through to the Super Final taking place in France in January? I know very little about the other teams so I am going to vote yes

Can't see it myself. I predict one glorious result and ultimately a near miss.
Would like to be proven wrong though

Technically we should beat both Maribor and DAB - the "gold medal game" should be us against Bolzano. We CAN beat them, it's just down to how we perform against the hosts! So far though, we've played 2 previous rounds in the continental cup and have so far failed to score against the host team!!

Also so far on both occasions that Blaze have been to Europe the hosts have made it through from our group. From what I'v heard we are at about the same level as Bolzano, although I believe that is going by rankings based on how both teams performed last season.

My concern is that we lost some serious momentum last weekend

Two wins and one defeat was not enough to see Blaze through. The performances in the first two games were prety similar, looked strong on the powerplay throughout and didn't give to many silly penalties away except for in the thrid period of both games. Against Bolzano it is probably fair to say we were second best for most the game, however that won't be what we all remember due to the unprofessionalism of the referee, allowing a goal and then seemingly changing his mind. To make matters worse the pictures now appear to have shown that the puck DID cross the line, meaning we were officially robbed.

A great time was had by all I'm sure. My only complaint with the place was the facists police force watching our every move at and away from the arena. The fact that so people had their heads down looking disapointed on the train after the Bolzano game shows just how far the club has come and how much expectation has risen when you consider that three years ago when Grenoble knocked us out in an earlier round fans were on the train singing as we were just happy to be in Europe whatever the results.
