Decrease the price of tickets 7. Decrease the price of tickets 8. Decrease the price of tickets 9. Decrease the price of tickets 10. Decrease the price of tickets
If you havn't got my point by now, I am saying that ticket prices are way to high. The majority of fans I speak to agree that the match night experience is nowhere near what it used to be, the game itself isn't as entertaining anymore yet tickets cost more than ever. Fans who have been following the club for years are slowly disapearing and less and less newbies are turning up at games in their place. I fear that one season where results don't go our way could spell a major fans backlash and the club will be back to where they were back in 2000 when they first moved to Coventry. One positive though, more people could start going to watch the ENL team should they nolonger wish to pay the money to watch the Elite League side.

Personally I feel the Blaze represent terrific value for money

I think that the price increases might have put a few people off, especially as the prices everywhere else are going up too, but because of that, the prices will logically have to go up.

I guess it's for the individual to weigh up the price increases with whether or not is is still value for their dollar.

You may be having problems in Coventry at the minute ,but Belfast is buzzing at the minute and have had 5000+ at each home game so far this season. Todd Kelman has added loads of new stuff to create a good all round show as well as the hockey. We even have a Bazzooka that shots Subways into the crowd. A more friendly looking mascot Gordie the gorilla. He has our cheerleader's all kitted out in the best of gear, loads more interval entertainment. Local D.j's from Cool Fm are now doing mc for the night add to this special offers for season ticket holder and loads of prize's given out on a game night ,it makes for a top atmosphere at the 'o' so far this season. It also helps that we have got of to a flying start as well. Mabe a few small changes here and there and the Blaze could have the place pumping again as well.

The music is far better this season. We still have the Dalziel show though although his camp style is not my cup tea. That said the kids seem to like it. We have some between period games which add to the fun. The team is as good as ever and perhaps that's part of the problem. Unlike every other league side we haven't really had a bad season. This it could be argued has fuelled apathy rather than discontentment as we expect to win each time with little effort (Which we do 99% of the time ;D), hence the often mooted downturn in spectator atmosphere. That said come March if you want to see trophies head for the Dome

I was thinking earlier maybe Blaze progressed to quickly for their own good and the Grandslam season came a few season's to soon, if progress had been a little bit more gradual and the road to the top had lasted a bit longer would that have given more people chance to jump on the bandwagon? Now after just eight season's we've won a Grandslam and more recently back to back league titles (which I wouldn't swap for anything). How does a club top that? That said that theory goes out of the window when you think Belfast won the Superleague in their first ever season, and they still get the crowds, even though they've had a lot less success than us since then, so what are they doing to keep people interested that Blaze are not?
Out of interest does anyone think Sky Dome attendances would improve if we played the majority of our home games on Saturday instead of Sunday. Maybe people would see it as a good way of starting their Saturday nights out, and also parents wouldn't have to worry about kids having to be up for school the next day. Its an idea although I'm sure there would be a good case for keeping home games on Sundays too.

My only gripe about saturday night matches is the 7pm start, if it was the usual 6pm that would be great. As a night worker i have just enough time to get from the Skydome to the UHCW for my 9pm start time. When matches start at 7pm i either have to miss the last period or be very late for work (not an option!!) Saturday at 6pm......great 7pm : (

I agree the prices are too high, It is costing me nigh on £40 quid a week as a family to go to the game! and I have no travelling costs, so it must be hurrendous for a family travelling to the game. I'm glad they have brought back the student discount thou (the season after I finnished uni! Oh the irony)
The music has gotten a lot better this season, lots more Rock which I like (to me it suits the game). However the atmosphere has gotten a little duller than in previous seasons. We seem to be chanting the same 2 chant over and over again (come on you blaze and oh when the blaze).
We seem to have become a very quiet, serious crowd, thus impacting upon the atmosphere in the dome and the whole match night experiance. Bring back the days when the atmosphere was electric, there was more than a handful of fans chanting and singing a variety of songs, and most fans didn't take themselves too seriously. Where the away fans walked into a wall of blaze inspired noise! For me this would make the extra cost more acceptable

Sadly much of the experimental and innovative chanting is met with derison every Monday morning on less embracing forums such as this one
