Just got back from the game. The 1st period was very good, just like the blaze from last season. The rest, I don't really want to talk about!
What do you think went wrong?

What went wrong? Devils came back from 3 down to equalise in the 5 minute penalty when Lewis went off. You knew it wasn't to be our night when they scored a 5th shorthanded on a 5 on 3 The inquest on the "Elite" forum has many "loyal" Blaze fans seemingly tarring Thommo with the same brush Newcastle United fans are doing with Mike Ashley. OK so the team had a bad weekend. It's happened before and it will happen again. I bet all the moaners will be puckering up when the trophies are being handed out  |

Havn't read the Elite League Forum yet today and not really sure if I want to but any Blaze fan slating Paul Thompson should hang their heads in shame. That guy has forgotten more about hockey than 99% of forum users will ever know, FACT.
That said last night was poor, at 3-0 up I thought Cardiff were on the wrong side of the backlash from Saturday night, but how wrong was I? From the second period onwards they out played and out fought us. Of course Lewis being thrown out the game was a major turning point but to conceed three goals in that amount of time short handed or not shows lack of discipline.
Is this Blaze team just not good enough or was this weekend just two major bad days at the office? Well will soon find out.
