OK now I'v been given the low down on what this thread is about I'll say this, the Panthers fans are probably fickle but arn't all sets of fans? Imagine if Blaze were to sign Theo Fleury and he was to go on and win us the Grandslam, I'm sure most of us would forgive and forget the nonsense from 2005-06.

some clarity needed...here goes
having watched Nottingham for the last 20+ years (as a Solihull and Blaze fan) i have never been to any other rink that berates their own players as much. i actually felt sorry for Neilson last year (before the playoff victory) as he was booed constantly by his own fans. i find it ironic they are now welcoming Te$$ier back, just look at the last years posts!!!!!! i think he is a good player and he will do well for them (if he stays for the season, does not get a better offer, does not have a poor patch etc. etc.). fans really show their worth when a player/team is struggling, something i find is lacking a bit in Nottingham!!! (Rumn, you have been warned!)
as for Fleury, i loved the passion he brought to the rink (especially when you consider what he has achieved in the game and come through from a personal perspective). he was exciting to watch, and a great player (still) IMO. i would love him to come back to the British game for any team but i guess Coventry would not be his first choice! i think the real issue was Simms and others claiming inflatable baby bottles were syringes and putting that in to print without consultation or getting anywhere near the truth. i am not able to judge his character as i have never met him and refuse to listen to rumours (of which i have heard both sides) so i guess you can safely say i have 'forgiven' him if i have such a right to do so!
