Sunday 17th August sees the Coventry ENL Blaze back on the ice for a 6.00pm face off at the Skydome in a challenge game against 'local' neighbours and rivals Oxford City Stars. Last year in the Southern ENL division the clubs were pretty evenly matched in highly competitive games.
This year due to the success and increasing numbers of teams competing at ENL level the leagues have been restructured into four divisions North and South divisions one and two. So this year, this challenge game will be the only time they will meet as Coventry have been placed in, what will be a really tough and competitive league, Division 1 North and Oxford in an equally competitive South Division 1.
Tickets for this challenge game will be just £2.00 adults and £1.00 for U16s and seniors, just pay on the door.
Come along and see the Blaze stars of the future as they start their 08-09 campaign - this Sunday at 6.00pm.

I might try and get to this, never seen a ENL game before, although always wanted to.

If ever in a few years time we get bored of following the Blaze and decide that we want something different for a season, then I suggest we start of an ENL Blaze Supporters Club and follow them home or away. The quality wouldn't compare with Elite League hockey but it would be a fun experience visiting some of these smaller rinks.

I went along yesterday, very impressed with the standard. Well worth the £2 entrance fee.
