There is a thread on the Elite League Forum requesting fans to suggest songs for the upcoming season. I know at least a handful of our members can't access the Elite League Forum so i thought i would start one on the Den..
I've suggested a more rockier/punky approach for the new 2008/09 season.
Guns n Roses Foo Fighters Ramones Green Day Velvet Revolver Pendulum
...To name just a few for now!
You can suggest the band or if you want to be more specific, add the tracks you think will go down well next season inside the home of British hockey, the Skydome Arena!

Arch Enemy: Revolution Begins Nightwish: Amaranth Judas Priest: Breaking the Law Angels and Airwaves: The War +44: 155 Metallica: Seek and Destroy Slayer: Raining Blood (just play the beginning-cause if you let it run it may scare the faint-hearted or those who think My Chemical Romance are heavy) Lamb of God: Redneck (naughty word warning if you let it run to the chorus). Or, if you just want the intro, then Ruin is also damn good
Heard played live in Pittsburgh during the playoffs (and the crowd, families and all, loved 'em)
Slipknot: Before I Forget Linkin Park: Papercut/One Step Closer Pendulum: Propane Nightmares Sepultura: Rattamahatta Hatebreed: Live For This
I ain't stopping yet...
Fightstar: Paint Your Target Kittie: Funeral for Yesterday Pantera: Walk/Cowboys from Hell Black Sabbath: Iron Man Nine Inch Nails: Wish/Head Like a Hole Rob Zombie: Dead Girl Superstar/Living Dead Girl Avenged Sevenfold: Almost Easy Bullet For My Valentine: Scream, Aim, Fire/Tears Don't Fall/Hearts Burst Into Fire Billy Talent: Prayer Of the Refugee Less Than Jake: Life In a Boring Town Reel Big Fish: I Want Your Girlfriend (To Be My Girlfriend Too) Joy Division: Love Will Tear Us Apart (ironically when there's a lovely little row going on) Soundgarden: Jesus Christ Pose Korn: Blind (just for the beginning) or Here To Stay, or (for Brad Voth or any Hull meathead) Freak on a Leash Ash: Burn Baby Burn Garbage: As Heaven Is Wide/Stupid Girl (penalty song) Turisas: Rasputin (it ain't Boney M-put it that way) Skid Row: Youth Gone Wild Rage Against the Machine: Sleep Now In the Fire/Wake Up Linkin Park: Don't Stay. But, if possible, get the live version linked here-just for that introduction. Imagine that just before the teams come out... Evanescence: Going Under Alexisonfire: .44 Caliber Love Letter Iron Maiden: The Trooper/Hallowed be Thy Name/Number of the Beast Dragonforce: Through the Fire and the Flames Spineshank: New Disease Metallica: Sad But True (or, if you must-Kid Rock: American Bad-***. Bring back.
Chelsea Dagger Rockin All Over The World
Many might not like them but the Skydome needs more crowd interaction and them two songs always had the crowd dancing along to them. Also that piece of music they used to play around the Grandslam era, can't rememember what its called where people would put their hands either side of their head and move them back and fourth really quickly.
Its already been said but plenty of the Enemy, maybe 'Your Not Alone' during the period breaks, possibly 'Away From Here' when an opposition player has just been sent to the penalty box or out of the game and on the rare occasions when we lose 'We Live And Die In These Towns'. There have been numourous sightings of The Enemy followng the Blaze over the past year so its only polite to play their music at our games.
Just an idea and stolen from the Playoff Weekend but what about 'We're Gona Win' by Bryan Adams just before the players come out? Or would that be deemed to offensive to the opposition and make us look like chavs?

I think you mean the trance version of Zorba Rich.
Personally I think Chelsea Dagger is past it without being cool enough for retro yet. Having seen 20,000+ Blackpool fans bouncing around to it at Wembley in the League 1 play offs it loses its luster when 1500 people are doing it.
ROATW however is sufficiently retro to enjoy a bit of a revival

hardly anyone done the zorba after the grandslam year, and there were like 2 people in selected blocks (one of them being me) its just fun and upbeat so agree to both zorba and status quo making a return oppostion penalty - n'sync - bye bye bye ? and whatever happened to celine dion? all by myself, i thought that was a great shout
