Howdo good folk of Coventry.
I don't know if you are aware, however if you are after a hocke fix, and want a good laugh at complete beginners playing Ice Hockey (me being in that bracket) then come along to IceSheffield for the first All Star Weekend at IceSheffield on the weekend of the 19th and 20th July.

================================================================
The first ever UK Forum All-Star weekend will be taking place at IceSheffield over the weekend of the 19th and 20th July. This weekend will see hockey fans from up and down the country compete for the title of ‘best of the best’
With an all-star weekend, attracts ‘all-star’ names and we can announce that the GMB and Surface Ink are proud associates of the weekend, and through their fantastic sponsorship, has assisted us in the running of this weekend
Although it has an ‘all star’ tag, it is open to anyone, male or female of any standard to participate. The only criteria that should be met, is that people are a member of one of the major forums used by UK Ice Hockey fans (I.E. THF, SteelTalk, The Cage Forum)
So what will be happening over the weekend?
Starting in the afternoon, there will be a music and skate session at IceSheffield, exclusive to those attending the UKF All-Stars weekend. Skate hire can be arranged and that will cost £1.60 per person.
The main event will take place in the evening where two teams will take place. 3 x 20 mins periods will be played, to decide who will go home as champions. For those watching the game, there will be a raffle, and a chuck-a-puck to take part in.
We want everyone who will come to this weekend, to enjoy themselves, and to benefit from meeting up with friends during the summer. However we do not want the people to be the only benefactors. That is why all the funds that are raised during the weekend will be donated to the charity Dreams Come True, a charity which does use Ice Hockey throughout their charity work.
If you want to take part or volunteer to help during the weekend, then please send an e-mail to ukf.allstars@googlemail.com with the following information (obviously volunteers won't need to put experience down):
