When is the Godiva Festival this year and who's all going to be there? Someone told me the other day that The Enemy will be playing again, can anyone confirm?

urgh The Enemy.....are those hacks still allowed to perform their "music" in public?
I think I'll give it a miss thanks. Time they got some decent bands at things like this.

Well I am home for this weekend and having never actually been to the Godiva Festival before, I think I'll try really hard to make it this year.
I like The Enemy.

You can't take your own drink in this year due to potential for rioting.
You can however buy drink from the tents on the circuit

Despite protests:
Festival goes on despite protests Coventry's Godiva Festival has been granted an entertainment licence despite protests from local residents.
Environmental Health officers and some residents had objected to the annual festival as noise levels were expected to be slightly higher than usual.
CV One has been organising the event, which will be held in Memorial Park between 4 and 6 July.
The Godiva Festival offers a variety of major events and activities including live music tents and stand-up comedy.
The council's city services spokeswoman, Hazel Noonan, said she was "delighted" the licence had been granted on Tuesday.
She said: "The Godiva Festival has become a fantastic event for thousands of people, firmly putting Coventry on the map as a great place for live entertainment.
"The majority of residents are behind it but we fully understand the concerns some people living close to the park have."
