Matt the Stat laid it out in THF so....
All the following are circumstances if the Blaze win Tuesday and then the Giants/Devils games are played with these results...
1. Blaze win, Giants win one, Devils win one Blaze P47 PTS 72 (Title won) Giants P47 PTS 65 (can only get 71) Devils P47 PTS 65 (can only get 71)
2. Blaze win, Giants win both, Devils lose both Blaze P47 PTS 72 (would need to beat London Sunday) Giants P47 PTS 67 (can get 73) Devils P47 PTS 63 (can only get 69)
3. Blaze win, Devils win both, Giants lose both Blaze P47 PTS 72 (would need to beat London Sunday) Devils P47 PTS 67 (can get 73) Giants P47 PTS 63 (can only get 69)
4. Blaze win, Giants win one, Draw one Blaze P47 PTS 72 (would need to beat London Sunday to be certain) Giants P47 PTS 66 (can tie points but then dependant on regulation wins) Devils P47 PTS 64 (can only get 70)
5. Blaze win, Devils win one, Draw one Blaze P47 PTS 72 (would need to beat London Sunday to be certain) Devils P47 PTS 66 (can tie points but then dependant on regulation wins) Giants P47 PTS 64 (can only get 70)
6. Blaze win, Both draws Blaze P47 PTS 72 (Title won) Devils P47 PTS 65 (can only get 71) Giants P47 PTS 65 (can only get 71)
Sums it up perfectly I think.

I've worked it out that, if Blaze beat Racers on Sunday, were the EIHL Champions. ...Even if Giants win all their remaining games, the double header with Devils, Steelers and the double header with the Blaze, they'll still only be on 73 points and we'll be top with 74?

But if we lose, and the Giants take four points from Devils, it could come down to the Belfast weekend. There are so many if's and but's, i guess time will tell. All i know for sure is, ALL Blaze eyes will be on the Giants v Devils game on Thursday, and Friday - if need be.
Come on you Blaze!!!

Personally, I don't want option 1 or 6.
This is the only chance we have this season to win something in our own barn! A WIN ON SUNDAY Yeeessss!

Put simply-if Belfast or Cardiff get anything less than a win any time between now and the Belfast weekend, we're champions-if either wins both, then a point v London on Sunday will clinch it. I may be unpopular for this view, but I'd rather confim it for certain in Belfast on the Friday though-apart from anything it would seriously annoy one of my pet hates-the Blaze 'fans' who come out of the woodwork whenever the team looks like winning something. (I'm not suggesting that anyone in here falls into that category, by the way)...I just think that those who have made the effort to travel this season are deserving of a party without gatecrashers, so to speak... Of course, irrespective of where it's won, the trophy will be re-presented at the first home-game of the playoffs, as with the Challenge Cup, so EVERYONE gets to celebrate...cynical, but true...

I would like to see it settled this week-end, what a great present for Thomo's testimonial.

I would like it settled this weekend, simply because I would like Blaze to win every single game they play.
And for those going to Belfast just think of it like this, it would be a party all the time.
It really wouldn't be much of a party, if Blaze somehow lost the title from here. Better to confirm it on Sunday ourselves.
I'm not going to Belfast anyway, but even if I was, this would not change my opinion.
At the end of the day though where we win the title is not important, as long as we do.

What will the crack be if Belfast and Cardiff win one game each against each other in overtime so they both pick up three points from the two games? I could work it out but I can't be asked right now.
As for when I want Blaze to win the title, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
GO ON THE BLAZE

In that case we would need a draw from any of our remaining 3 games.
(or indeed an overtime loss.)
