What a comeback!!! We all knew you could do it! But did you have to get their hopes up so much first?!  Anyway, great match, great season, great team!!!! Well done fellas! Challenge Cup Champions and noone can say you didnt deserve it! Looking forward to getting back to Coventry for the last match of the season in a week and a half! ;D |

I'v got so much I want to say and I can't concentrate because my mum is shouting at me from the other room about ironing or something silly like that.
Five years ago Coventry didn't even have an ice hockey team and now not only do we have one but we have the best ice hockey team in the country or even the World (thats how it feels right now anyway). What an achievment. There are so many individuals that I could pick out to talk about but at the end of the day every single player out on the ice played their part. Even Danny Shea deserves praise for being there.
I'm sure not many people will care right now but others may be interested to know that all five of Blaze goalscoreers last night are European and four of them are Brits. Including Bari McKenzie. Even if he never ices for Blaze again he will forever be a cult hero and his name will go down in history for the man that scored the game winning goal in the second leg of a final.
Hopefully Blaze go onto win at least one more piece of silverware this season but whatever happens the least we can do is equal last seasons league position and we have also won a cup so the boys have done us proud.
Finnally I was shown clearly on TV.

We did it! We're number one!
I don't want to pick out any players because each player had his own part to play not only in our route to the cup, but in the game last night.
I was so glad to be a part of history in that rink last night, and I think everyone was feeling that it was something special ;D

How many other Blaze fans were thinking "oh crap!!" when we were 4-1 down on the night?? But credit to us as fans for continuing to get behind the lads..........and of course fair play to the team for getting back into contention! What a night............
