On the mailing list there have been rumours eminating from Nottingham last night that Dave Simms could be in an official capacity with the Blaze next season.

As far as I can remember he had a brief capacity with us once before whilst in the BNL but can't remember which year. He didn't stay long and soon returned oop north.
Anyone care to speculate (just for fun) what role he could have?

Well he is good mates with Thommo so maybe the rumours could have a small amount of truth in them.

He is staying. Apparently the rumour came from a Simmsy hating Panther fan. Oddly enough a lot of the responses positive for the switch has Yorkshire accents!  Must be all that Hovis they eat with the only excercise being taking the whippet out for a run ;D |

What ever we say about Dave Simms he is a fantastic when commentating on BBC WM. I have heard his commentary from the 2nd leg in Nottingham he is well entertaining. He seems to have done a good job teaching Clive Eakin and Geoff Foster who usually commentate on the the football how things are done too.
