Close game tonight.Could have gone either way and Blaze were slightly lucky with the disallowed goal for' Net off its mooring' but they ground a result out, which champions do. John Dalziel, the announcer, is great when he does his riding a horse act to the music.

Great to see so many Phoenix fans there in block 7, despite them cheering for the opposition!
I would be furious if the same thing happened to the Blaze as happened to you guys tonight. I don't know if Jody moved the goal deliberately... but you guys were a little bit robbed.
The referee was pretty bad tonight. Made a couple of bad calls against Wade in the first period.
Looking forward to 2 weeks' time!

A very lucky call which begat a big big win. This was the one to win and now makes our position very strong. Our destiny is in our own hands but with 6 very tough games left there is still a lot of work to be done.
Well done guys for a second straight 4 point weekend with 4 straight regulation wins ;D

The goal that was washed out was spot on, as it wasn't a goal as the net was off. However, IMO i do think Jody knocked them off deliberately and we got lucky that there was no penalty given.
The Blaze fought well all game and deserved the two points, revenge will be in the air in the 'O' in two weeks time, i'm sure!
Another four point weekend, WELL DONE Blaze!! ;D

Controversial events like the washed out goal are the sort of deciding factors that can win championships. And people don't get over excited- the Belfast weekend is in three weeks time not two (Unless you're a Devil )

Not a great game last night, Blaze looked uncomfortable at times but being a good team isn't just about dominating teams beating them by 4 or 5 goals. You sometimes have to grind out results and that is what we did. Its looking very good for Blaze although I don't think Belfast are out of the race yet as from what I saw last night they are a hard team to beat and they will certainly give us a run for our money.
As for the disallowed goal, the referee got it RIGHT. Maybe Jody did deliberatly move the goal but the fact of the matter is that it did get moved and it was moved before the puck went in.

Hicks was correct to wash out the goal as it had moved off of its moorings prior to the puck going in. However he should have called at minimum a delay of game penalty on Jody for knocking the net off.

The secret to success is winning whilst not playing at the best possible. At this stage of the season I would sacrifice results for pretty play

A big step towards a possible EIHL crown this weekend...the Giants were unlucky, but probably just about the right result. There's now a slim, slim chance the league can be ours before the Belfast weekend depending on results-should Blaze win three games while the Giants lose their corresponding fixtures (assuming the game in hand goes to Belfast) before the weekend, I believe Blaze will travel as champions. Come on the Devils....
