He in my mind was always going to re-sign but now it has been made official. The great brit prospect has signed up for the next season and this is a great signing, because of how quick and skillful he is. In my mind he was always going to re-sign, because he is a bit of a fan favourite and Thommo thinks very highly of him. He also is comfortable at coventry and as a youngster it is always best to stay where you feel comfortable.

'High and Mighty' Coventry Blaze are pleased to announced that Great Britain international Russ Cowley is returning for his fourth season with the team.
Cowley, aged 20, suffered a frustrating end to last season, when a shoulder injury forced him out of the run-in, just as he was starting to make an impact.
He will now be coming back and looking for an injury-free year as he bids to stake a claim for a role on the top two lines.
Last season, Cowley scored three goals and registered six assists in 44 games. He was also a member of the Great Britain squad at the world championships in Norway.
Coach Paul Thompson said: "Russ wants more responsibility this year and feels he is at that stage now where he can play a bigger role on the team. I have told him that I am satisfied with the way the defensive side of his game has improved, and that I will be using him in penalty-killing situations. He has fantastic speed and can use that to take time and space away from the opposition.
"His enthusiasm makes him what he is, and although sometimes I have to put the brakes on him a little, I thought he was playing very well for us before his injury. He took a huge hit in a game in Cardiff, one which would have hurt anyone, but we have to work on increasing his upper body strength to try and minimise the chances of him being hurt again.
"I would like to see more goals for him, but goals aren't everything. He draws a lot of penalties for us with his tenacious attitude and his speed. I enjoy working with him and I'm delighted he's coming back."
Cowley said: "Things started a bit slowly but they were coming together in January then I got injured. I found the Elite League quite tough at first because the players are a bit bigger and a bit faster, but I was coming to terms with it.
"I'm really pleased to be coming back. I want to have a good season next year. I would like to have an injury free year and finish the season a better player than I started."
Thompson said that he was close to completing his first import signing and was hoping to confirm the identity of a new defenceman in the next few days.
