The Dundee Texol Stars have just defeated 'top of the EIHL' Coventry Blaze 1-0. It looks like last nights game against Devils and the travel up to Dundee proved too much for the Blaze (not to mention the lack of support) Oh well, keep you're heads up lads, after all we are still top of the league.
What effect do you think that loss will have on the Blaze's season now?
I think the lads will come out of tonights game with their heads held high and raring to beat the Steelers on Saturday..
Everyone else..?

Not the best result...but after the Devils game (well played, great hockey) and the long trip to Dundee you can forgive them.
Another big weekend ahead... ;D

won't affect the teams morale or season in any shape or form.
It will probably be perceived as an annoyance factor rather than anything else, that's one hell of a coach journey, the players should be flying up.

I heard from 1 of the players that Dundee's airport isn't big enough for a 19 seater plane to land

after the weekends results, everything is as they were in terms of points. So this weekends points all cancel out against each other.
The two points still would have been nice last nite.

I aint going to criticise the lads to much because they did pick up a great result at home to Cardiff then had an 8-hour coach journey to play against tricky opposition. Dundee didn't make it easy for us but I had that feeling that if we got the first goal more would follow. It didn't come though as Blaze failed to take a number of chances including one from Ashley Tait who didn't have his best ever game but showed why Thommo made him captain leading by example with a fantastic workrate. Second period was a bit different. Dundee had chances of their own and the class difference looked less. Infact Dundee slightly edged it. Jody Lehman made some good stops that made him a worthy Man Of The Match. The goal we gave away was frustrating as we were on the powerplay and Dan Carlson needlessly gave the puck away for them to go on and score. Third period again was even with Blaze having chances but their netminder being in fine form. After the match the players did look annoyed, which is a good thing as it shows they care. A few of them came into McDonalds after the game and although they were happy to sign autographs (mainly Dundee fans wanting Wade's) they did look very disapointed. None of them even bothered to check out this fit blonde piece that was working behind the counter. What does that tell you?

It was a frustrating game, but as Rich pointed out after the game, which game would you prefer the blaze to win? cardiff at home a 4 pointer or away at dundee?!?!
Good to see so many blaze fans up, considering the circumstances.

As long as they get it out of the way by hitting top form at the House of Rust
