Use this thread to talk about the upcoming Belfast weekend in March.
I think the league will be decided on that weekend, the way it's going at the moment.
Discuss..

Well its the weekend where the league can be won or lost and what makes it even more exciting for the neutral is that it can be won or lost for any of the two teams. Lets not forget the Devils though. I am sure they will have something to say about all this

I was eaves-dropping on the people who sit infront of me at tonights game... They said something about if the title will be decided on that weekend either for Blaze or Giants...one wins title, other finishes second...could be a conflict here in the arena bar complex area with one teams fans celebrating and the other teams consoling themselves...could cause a bit of fisticuffs I personally can't see this happening...its not like a football away trip and were all hooligans (apart from Villa fans...Whiskey ) What do others reckon??

Well, did you see the dirty looks we were getting in Nottingham when we knocked the Panthers out the Challenge Cup? I'm pretty sure that there will be a lot of gutted/angry Giants fans if the Blaze were to win it over in Ireland. Just my opinion! You know when the Blaze win, we let them know we've won

Giants fans are not like the Panties though, although disappointed (hopefully) they will not take it out on us. Should be a great weekend whatever the result

I'v never been to Belfast but from what I have seen of the Giants fans over here, they seem to have a lot of spirit and while they would be very disapointed they would hopefully just look on the brightside (like the Sqeelers do apparently ;D) that they have had a good season and there is always the playoff.
I'm more concerned about once we leave the arena.

Not gonna happen-there will no doubt be the odd dirty look from those who have taken things a level too far, but a bit of discretion from the winning side (i.e not rubbing it in with loud mick-taking songs in the bar) and all should go swimmingly. Oh, and of course there's the diaries to write, so I need to keep my fingers intact

Lets remember if it does go the other way and the giants win which i hope they dont that we take it on the chin and join in the fun and drinks because a couple of teams are just waiting to have another pop at our supporters if any thing goes wrong

I'm more concerned about once we leave the arena. If your that worried when your over there...people will probably be sticking together on the way back anyway so you'll be fine Would you feel this worried in say...London...another major city with gun crime and stuff??

Would you feel this worried in say...London...another major city with gun crime and stuff?? Or even worse...Manchester I don't foresee a problem as the Giants fans, as numerous people have mentioned are probably the most pleasant and easy going there is. They're probably more worried that our hooligans will "kick off" if we don't win given the reputation that others have afforded us. In the Hard Rock whatever the result should be a night to remember. As for the sticking together policy, well that is common sense in any place where you don't know the surrounding area

I aint really that worried. I wouldn't be going if I was. If I was in Manchester I would be more worried about getting hit by a tram than what I would be about getting shot. And if I was in London I would be a bit concerned about walking under a lambpost with some pigeons on top and ending up with a white head.
