Wow with 3 goals and the verdict in three tussles (McKenna, Pope & Ewasko) it seems that Andre has pulled on his Superman shirt at the right time

I've said it before, and i'll say it again, Andre is one of the best players in the league, WHEN HE STAYS OUT OF THE BOX.
He (for the most part) did that that this weekend, and it a cracking perforamnce on Sunday night.

He did get sent to the box a few times over the weekend but the important thing was he took an opposition player with him every single time. You can't ask for anymore than that, oh yeah apart from a few goals and he got them too ;D

Andre would not get MOM in Pantherland even if he scored ten goals. The man himself even said the same. Their fans would go mental. You have got to admit it was Josefs on Sunday.

Couldn't agree more that it was Super Jozefs on Sunday, but Andre should have had it on Saturday.
This year he has only had two awards Away at Cardiff when we won 6-2, I think he scored at least a hat trick
Home against Landan when we lost 3-2
He has deserved more

I think that sometimes they let the crowd decide Man Of The Match judging by which player they have sung about most etc..., but we always sing Andre's song anyway how ever well he plays.

At a game vs Landan at home last year I knew the sponsors who selected the MOM and they gave it to Ashley as that was the only one they could remember!!! To be fair it was their first match (And last as I haven't seen her at the Skydome since)

MoM is a joke at times don't get me wrong it's good that there is an award but it shouldn't be awarded by a Sponsor. Personally i'd let the the head coaches pick it for the opposition team that would be the fairest way IMO.

Just for the record the sponsors may award the Man of the Match (part of their sponsorship) but they don't choose the player.

Re-reading what i've just typed, doesn't quite make as much sense as i'd wanted it to! Should have eleborated on it a bit more!
I know at other rinks that the Sponsors do get to pick it, i know because i had to at Fife (long story) for a Flyers/Blaze game where a group had got the match sponsorship for the night.
I was under the impression that Blaze at least used to let the sponsors pick it, saying that though that was probably a while back or just me getting it wrong ;D
Just out of interest, at Blaze games who does pick MoM?
