Obviously, having no knowledge of what goes on the moment the players leave the ice, I can't speak with any certainty, but has anyone else not only noticed Andre's drop-off in form since Scotland, but also that he seems to be slightly apart from the rest of the team in everything-and his lapping right round the edge of the rink as opposed to the usual half-skate around post-game? This, coupled with the flying rumours about his return to Canada, has led me to think that Lukac won't be the last signing this season.
The big question is-would it be that big a loss if Payette were to go, assuming a replacement could be found? He seems to be doing his own thing out there with AC and DC-those pair have formed an almost telepathic understanding-but Payette looks a little lost-almost as if he's not sure how he fits in any more, or is not quite as comfortable as the other two. I'd rather have three players with an understanding than two and an odd one out, however valuable his impact may be...

I'm a little worried to be honest, with all these rumours flying round. I always thought Payette was happy where he was-the fans love him. I will admit that he has been a little quiet recently, but i just thought that was something to do with him and Belak (a falling out) He looked alright with Belak on the ice on Sunday though. As for a new signing replacing Payette-i sure hope not!

I'm not too bothered I'd rather the player was happy, whether thats here or at another team.

I'm not too bothered I'd rather the player was happy, whether thats here or at another team. You've got to look at things Andre has done for the Blaze in the time he's been here. He's looked after the team well and even puts points on the board. To me, Andre is a key player on the Blaze roster and losing him would no doubt have a massive impact on the team. Obviously the guy is going to have a few off-games, as it appears at the moment, but i think Andre will be back to his old ways in no time. Let's cut the guy some slack.

Personally i thought he was back with the team this week...he didn't stand away from them at the end and seemed ok...can't the bloke have an off week...and as for being off form the Cardiff fans definately did not think he was off form on Saturday.

I though he had a good game on Saturday but was a little subdued on Sunday- then again so were others

To be honest i didnt notice him as much as i have done before in previous Blaze games in our barn.
as for the rumour of him going back to Canada all that happened were his rights were traded it happens all the time, Huppe of belfast had his rights traded and absoloutly no belfast fan blinked an eye lid. SOmetimes its the continuation of such a rumour that will force payette out than the actual start of one

What has Steve O'Brian got to do with anything. He left ages ago. Sorry if this post makes no sense. Hilton Ruggles is a legend.

I was completly wrecked when I replied to that post so I am just as much to blame. I still think Hilton Ruggles is a legend though. Also to stay on topic, Payette will stay till at least the end of the season. Could be a one season wonder though that will go down in legend.

I hope if and when he does go,they get someone in who is much the same type of character.IMO i think they can't afford not to have someone like him,as 99.9% of the fans love him and it seems to of made the returning players like graham, more confident since they know they have someone like him there if things start getting rough.
