Thank you for your recent email regarding the postponement of the Belfast Giants games due to have been held on 27th and 29th January 2005.
We apologise for the delay in responding, but the change was not finalised until Friday evening.
It is common practice for Arena’s to have an Agreement with ice hockey teams who use their facilities, whereby, if required, the venue is able to request the re-scheduling of dates. The Odyssey Arena has such an Operating Agreement with the Belfast Giants, this has been in effect for the last 4 years, during which time the re-scheduling of games has been necessary on several occasions. We can assure you that the Arena’s decision to ask for the re-scheduling of games is not taken lightly and made in conjunction with the Belfast Giants.
The new dates for these games have now been finalised and full details can be found on the Belfast Giants web site or by contacting the Arena Box Office. The Arena and Belfast Giants apologise for any inconvenience caused to supporters and existing tickets purchased for the games are automatically transferable.
