IF the tape of the game shows that it was a delibarate hit to cause injury then i agree the league needs to do something to show it will not put up with this sort of play. On the other hand IF is shows to be a clean legal hit then there is nothing to be done. I feel it was a late hit and high, having spoken to people who have seen the tape i feel that action may be taken on JC but time will tell.

What I can't understand is the wording 'Unfair Challenge', if the hit was against the rules of the game surely Thommo would have used the correct terminology - Charging, Boarding, Checking from Behind etc.

Can't be Christians fault as this from the Steelers forum proves it is we at fault;
If these animals down at Coventry pick up any sort of silverware this season, we may has well shut the door and turn out the lights as far as ice hockey is concerned in this country.

We are not all defending JC in Sheffield.... just that from a lot of the views given by people (Blaze fans included) it sounds like he was more to blame himeself. Thommo by the sounds of it would swear black is white to say something against Christian! Ush  |

Personally I think everyone needs to calm down! There is so much speculation about the challenge on Pavol that until the footage is seen we can't really do much about it. I am really disapointed at the stick we are getting from other teams i.e. the quote from the Panthers fan. If it happened to anyone in their team they'd be frantic, but as it's us they are all lined up ready to put the boot in. I don't mind a bit of friendly competition and banter, but this has been taken way to far. I must just add get well soon Pavol, whoever is to blame, it's a cruddy thing to happen to such a quality player.  |

in my view, and i had a good enough one, it was possibly the most reckless challenge i've ever seen. Sheffield have had a 'thing' about Pavol since meeting one of this season. He's been Speared, almost butt-ended, tripped, slashed, hooked etc. But each time he just got up and dusted himself of the continue with the game, that is until Jeff "The Stickman" Christian finished him off. I just hope that the EIHL disciplinary panel see sense and bring him to the book.

As much as i hope that the panel see sense too, i don't honestly belive he will get punished.The reason i say this is because people like that have a knack of getting away with what ever they've done,i just hope i'm proved wrong.

hello everyone,
Rob Stewart has just spoken with me and ,although it s not official yet, it looks like i will receive a 2 game suspension for boarding.
we still have to wait for the official word from the league.
