First of all, well done lads for an excellent game last night and a well deserved victory!
Now, on to tonight! I can see the Blaze getting battered around a bit tonight, without Payette to jump in and help. Also being without Dougie is gona make it even harder. I think the lads need to go out and get a couple of early goals and then just try and defend the lead, obviously Racers will take advantage of the loss of Andre tonight and really batter a few of our lads around. Let's just hope we can fight back with the players we do have: Schlender, Belak, Pavol, Calder etc.. and get the 2 points that we need.
Score prediction:
Blaze 3 Racers 1

From what has been reported on other forums there will be no Cairns for London tonight, as he was injured going for a hit last night missing the player and hitting the boards. Apparently a torn muscle in the chest/stomach region.
Schlender and Cornish will prob go but i'd rather Belak kept his gloves on again tonight and concentrated on playing defence.
It will be a tough game but i think we should edge it. Going to go for 4-2

Well, whoever would have thought it:
(After OT) Blaze 2 Racers 2
I think Blaze deserved the 2 points tonight, they should have had the game won in the first period! Well done to London for taking advantage of the weakened Blaze side tonight and getting a point after OT. Haha, i don't think Cornish should have fought Belak, how one-sided was it? It did look as if it was only going to be a couple of punches into a hug and then split up, but Belak got his hand free and whooped Cornish's a$$! Unlucky lads, but keep your heads up, the league is still up for grabs!
Come on you Blaze!

We played well and were unlucky not to get the 2 points. Was so annoyed when Racer's second went in, 20 seconds left, that sux. Lets hope we win next game

Was so annoyed when Racer's second went in, 20 seconds left, that sux. 16 seconds, Actually!! Also, quote of the night from Doug Scheuller, after the game...........when asked about playing for Basingstoke last season he replys with, " Coventry is much better, in fact Basingstoke is just a crappy little town!!"

Dougie will be back? Yabadabadoo!!!! ;D Wow! Imagine Dougie liking Coventry over Basingstoke? Really wish he could stay with us but I guess that rather depends on his Degree and whether Thommo wants him back next season...... Here's hoping..............

Was surprised that Doug may be back so quickly
The game itself seemed strange given the number of players missing. 16 seconds sux though

Firstly lets get this schuller comment out of the way, if he did say that then imo he is doing a great dis service to the fans of Basingstoke who lets be fair do well to turn out week after week knowing they are never favourites.
Thank god Belak steam rollered Cornish hopefully it will shut the non talented Goon up easily the worst player i have seen for quite some time.
Cant believe you dropped points to London though they have easily been the worst side i have seen this year
