As we haven't done an event for a while...and the summer is almost here...and so is the World Cup... I propose that we orchestrate some sort of football day to have a few matches etc taking advantage of the glorious English summertime.
Taking into account the preparation I would suggest a date towards the end of June or better still early July when the business end of the world cup is on
Guessing the Memorial park is the best venue.
Right start planning

As long as you don't let me ref again you'll be alright - I knew all the rules but just couldn't be bothered to watch last year... the daisys were so much more interesting

I'd say that we try to arrange a day with decent weather whilst the world cup is on as poor weather will likely write off much of May.

Do we know what, if any, WC games are being shown that weekend? Perhaps a trip to the Rocket for the afternoon game and then a kick-about in the evening would be better? Cooler temperatures and all that... Also, is anyone else wondering whether 1pm is slightly early-maybe 2 would be better in order to allow everyone (well, me) to drag myself out of bed... Should also state that, as per usual-this event is open to all-just leave a message saying "I'll see if I can get along" or "I'm there" as others have done...and introduce yourself on the day if you've not seen us in person beyond passing at Blaze games...

Is there a date everyone can make, then? at the moment it looks like there'll only be five people there at the most if we have it on the 18th...

just a suggestion but maybe if we got the right amount of people we could book a pitch at the new powerleague 5-a-side pitches and run are own tournament or just a have a 5-a-side match
