I think Andre will go home at the end of the season (unfortunately)...he has made a difference this season especially when we are behind or half asleep...he just gives that kick up the backside to get the rest of the team moving

Rumours are circulating on the mailing list that he's not that happy at the moment. Hope all the speculation doesn't mean returning early

Not sure what the reason is (If there is one) but the comments were that he isn't his usual chirpy self.
I did notice how quick he went off the ice at the end last night and didn't do his usual trait of taking it slowly and milking the fan adulation like he normally does

Why would he not be happy, any ideas? It wouldnt be the banner at the back of Block THREE would it? Stupid people....!! Just out of interest as i didn't see anything (unsuprising as i stand in the north end) but what did the banner say? PM if you don't want to bring it onto the boards... |

Rumour I heard was that he just feels that the league isn't right for him and he is more suited to the QSPHL or LNAH as it is now called. He is getting frustrated by the referees and both him and Thommo agree that we don't want him to stuck in the penalty box if the title race is closed.
Hence, rumour I heard is that if Thommo can find a replacement, he'll go to the LNAH team that have acquired his rights before the end of the season. Just hasn't worked out and he hasn't been able to adapt his game to stop the penalties flowing.

even thoughni dont want to Payette will go. The leauge isnt for him , the refs are just calling him for everything. Theres no point him being here to sit in the penalty box. A great player though! all the luck to him in the future

Andre is a real character who has brought a lot to the Blaze this season. I will be sad to see him go, but to be honest, I didn't think he'd be here for more than one season anyway. This has been an experience for him and we've all enjoyed his playing for the Blaze. The players will miss him too, I should think!
He'll have a few stories to tell his folks back home......

According to Anthony (BlazingAnt) he is staying and is very much looking forward to this weekends games. He just doesn't like the cross over games as BNL teams don't play very physical.

I'll be glad to have him stay, but at the end of the season, it'll be bye bye because he'll be going for the bigger money.
I love watching him play. He's surprised me with his skill and his level of playing and his willing to drop the gloves is an added bonus.
Believe me when I say I hope he stays but if he's not too happy with the refs decisions and the way they penalise him for every minor thing, it's not surprising he's getting more than a little fed up with it all.....
Let's hope it's just the rumour mill doing it's thing and that our Andre is as happy as larry and wants to stay with us until the end of the season, if not longer......
