How many of you guys are watching Live 8? I've been watching since the start, excellent so far. U2, Coldplay/Richard Ashcroft, Stereophonics....and lots more! Can't wait for Velvet Revolver

Won't be watching. I hate this sort of hypocracy. If the performers want to help the "starving millions" then write a cheque. Don't milk the publicity for future album sales

They have will have raised more money this way than if they all wrote a cheque, they are only gonna give so much of their own money away you know.
I haven't been watching it, been on in the background but i dont like most the performers.

A lot of the money for the performers and live8 came from the text lottery for tickets. At £1.50 a time, 500,000 tickets, nice money. I JUST hope it reaches its goal in urging the G8 leaders to change.

Would have liked to see Coldplay/Ashcroft but I've been working all day and missed everything. Just caught a bit of Snoop Dizzle in my break.

Why should the G8 leaders throw what is effectively our money away for warring nations? Did you know for instance that we (UK) are still paying off the yanks for WWII I find it a bit rich that the likes of Bono, Mariah Carey, Paul McCartney etc are having a go at world leaders, who have far more pressing issues to consider, about global funding when their own private incomes are far more than those of the decision makers. I'll say it again why don't they put their own hands in their own deep pockets? After all they will be up on the deal given the publicity for their next album etc The money doesn't get to those who need it as the suffering will continue for ever and a day. Gaining thei independance was the worst thing to happen to these nations as it proved that they weren't self sufficient. Thought the technical crew messing up Peter Kays bit were pathetic
