I don't get to go to every game (can't afford it!) and I've never seen Shea in goal. So I was glad at last night's game when he got to be in goal, even if only for 10 minutes. Jody's very good but I always feel sorry for Shea standing at the side and never playing. I cheered very loudly when he came on! I think he did ok what do you think?

I think Dan Shea is a really promising prospect, I think he is a better net minder than Alan Levers was last year and he makes some good saves when he comes in. Looking forward to seeing him have a full game on Wednesday against the Phantoms.

Has the potential to be a great British netminder-wasn't he starting games in the EPL last season?
He already looks far older than his years when playing-he's quick and agile, and brave as well-if the Blaze can hold on to him they could have another Joe-Watkins-style success on their hands.

I really feel for Dan he does not get much ice time but when called upon he has done a great job and i think he will become a really good keeper. Having spoken to Dans mum and dad in the pub before the Racers match it made me see how dedecated they are to Dan and his sport as they travel from Wiltshire to support him and most times they never see him play. Keep traveling Mr and Mrs Shea because he will make it and you will see him play every week.

yeah that's what it's all about at his age, i'm sure he'll be looking for a number 1 spot somewhere in the not too distant future.

I felt bad for him on Sunday when we were standing behind him and he just seemed bored, away from the other players and everything. Then Andre demanded his jersey!

From speaking to his parents, I heard that he is just thrilled to be here and that he is learning a tonn from just watching the games and training with the team. So I wouldn't feel too sorry for him, this is a key development time for him.

I felt bad for him on Sunday when we were standing behind him and he just seemed bored, away from the other players and everything. Then Andre demanded his jersey! he's the backup goalie, his job is to be at the end of the bench on standby ready to come on. Belak's jersey got ripped during the fight so it made sense for Shea to give his jersey up. He's a young goalie under development, what he's doing is all part of it. He's getting a great chance on Wednesday night.
