Shame on you who thought that this would involve sex-particularly you adolescent boys with more money than sense or morals hiding at the back...
What it is, is a thread simply to share those little bits of wisdom that life has given you-not all the clichéd stuff, but proper, possibly cynical facts of life. A thread to have a good old bitch at life, if you like-and no, this has had nothing to do with the fact that the bloody useless Government still haven't given me the money they said they would, when they should, this term...
FACTS OF LIFE-part one
Any musical band that is praised by the critics as 'the next big thing' will only be liked by students and those desperately trying to jump on a bandwagon by the time their first single finally comes out, as the hype is worth more than the musical talent.
'True love' isn't.
The people considered 'best-looking' in any social situation will 9 out of ten times prove to be complete (exits for excreta) with the morals of a sewer rat when you get to know them. Or just be out for whatever they can get...
Seeing blood-stains is always un-nerving-especially when it's your blood.
You're always just too late to catch a bus, but if you arrive on time, the bus is late.
Anything described as 'a dead cert to succeed' will fail.
The stupidest deeds are always begun by some egotistical muppet going 'Watch me, I bet she'll love it if...'
Or 'Watch what I can do...'
If there's a fresh mud-hole created by rain during a day-out, someone in your party will step in it without noticing it beforehand.
'Urban music' is either about sex or killing people. And either way, it's always rubbish.
