Apparently this summer residents of Cornwall will have their own devolution referendum and the possiblity that the ancient country of Cornwall could once again be recognised as a separate entity to England. It will still form part of the United Kingdom but will be able to set its own laws and statutes to govern its people. Where will it all end?

When me and brother were younger and we went to Cornwall on holiday my dad always used to tease us by telling us that Cornwall was a a seperate country as it had its own flag and you had to cross a bridge to get to it. Now it could finnally be true

Yep this is another AF but Rich is correct in that it used to be separate with its own language in ancient times.
There are still a few Cornish speakers I believe as the language has been handed down through the generations
