They started off having a meaning, they're now just a fashion craze that has got out of hand.

I don't pay any attention to them anymore, as Blazing Kate said

Definitely fashion. A dear friend of mine is into collecting them and when I asked her about why she replied "Because David Beckham wears them" Make poverty history....get rid of poor people

The only wristband I am interested in wearing is the "Sane People Against Wristbands" Wristband. It wern't so long ago that people used to wear watches. Now that was a useful item for wearing on your wrist. You could find out the time by looking at it.

Even more useful was the watch/calculator combo. A stroke of genius.

Even more useful was the watch/calculator combo. A stroke of genius. No even better was the tv remote control watch. Knocked spots off the one that didn't tell the time until you pressed a button. That reminds me...I haven't spelt 'shell oil' on my calculator for ages.

What is a calculator? I have never had just cause to use one Why, do you use your fingers? Back to topic, i've seen loads of people wear wristbands on tv and in real life. I think if people really support the cause, they should donate the money to the charity itself rather than line some opportunists pockets by buying wristbands on ebay. Rant over
