Fair play to the bloke, its his life and if we all get a public holiday because of it even better.
It did catch my attention this morning though when it was first announced, they interupted programs for the news on at least two channels. I thought some one from the royal family had died or something.

Bit of an ego there Mr Gibson There was a thread about you and PW the other week anyway ;D ;D ;D To be honest part of me says fair play to the bloke but as a republican I won't let it get in the way of my life in general

I hate the Royal Family, bunch of time wasters and all up each other's butts. The sooner they all die off the better in my opinion.
Note to the Beefeaters: Come and through me in the tower, see if i care!

I couldn't agree more the royal family imo are just a bunch of parasitic old blue bloods.Basically it seems this whole "JUG EARS" marrige thing is just another publicity stunt. It may be his life but i really don't want it forced on me, as i couldn't care less.

My brother put a sick image into my head earlia. He suggested that Cammilla Parker Bowles is in the pudding club and thats why Charlie is marrying her Personally I think its got something to do with tax. Like I said before though I don't care providing we get a public holiday.

mmm....I take it that all the Royal haters DO NOT stand up when the National anthem is played at the Skydome before every game (some even salute soldier style). If you don't like them, sit down and don't bow to their superiority.
I think Camilla is a babe, so is Princess Anne! Although I also fancied Red Rum, but that's another story.
Good on you Charlie, you deserve some happiness.

Was watching Emmerdale last night and one of the storylines at the moment is that the vicar isn't allowed to marry for a second time because he is a man of the church. But isn't Charlie going to be Head Of The Church when he becomes king? Seems a bit strange that the Head Of The Church can marry twice but vicars can't.

OK random points to be made here. Emmerdale is just a storyline There have been occasions of the clergy marrying a number of different times. As for the royal haters at hockey games, Well we are all asked to rise out of respect for others who support the anthem Personally as a republican and having views that the monarchy is outdated anyway I don't believe we should have an anthem that is steeped in theVictorian age when the colonisation of the now defunct Commonwealth was at its height, and prior to that (Check out one of the verses about crushing the Scots- hence why the common form is just the first verse) when the monarchy actually had some modicum of respect . Spot the anomaly in this which happened tonight, We were asked to rise for the Welsh anthem for the Devils fans (Fair enough Cardiff is in Wales) followed by the British one (Coventry is in England) Why can we not have an English anthem ? Either of the following would be great; Land of Hope & Glory Jerusalem I vow to thee my country All good stirring, hairs-standing-on-back-of-neck type anthems that are much longer English than that dirge GSTQ

Didn't the bloke who made LOHAG ask specifically that it wasn't used as an anthem?
