Awful last night, a decent team would have tore us apart. Calamity James was deffinatly at fault for the 2nd goal, the ball went straight through him. I was dissapointed with Alan Smith too, he has got something about his game that I like and I am sure he could do good for England but he didn't seem bothered at times last night. Ashley Cole and Wayne Bridge worked well together out on the left but I think that is the only positive thing you can say about the performance. Also what was with Sven's decision to bring Defoe on when we needed a goal, he is a good player and he was unlucky not to score with that effort that hit the post, however, to bring on a player that hasn't had many caps and hasn't played alongside most them players much when we were in that situation seemed a strange one to me. Why didn't Sven opt to bring on Vassell? I hope we improve for the Poland game but the state of the England Football Team isn't looking to brilliant at the moment, we rely to much on certain players. Gerrard wasn't 100% fit last night and we could have probably done with resting him for Wednesday but Sven obviously didn't feel that we had anybody good enough to step in and do the job against Austria. Perhaps I am over reacting and last night was just a one off. We shall see on Wedneday against the Poles.

Slightly better display by England last night, got the job done anyway. Great finnish by Defoe. Good decision to drop Smith, I was a little surprised that Sven dropped Calamity James but Robinson did his job. Next up Wales, I would have liked to have got tickets for that game but apparently you have to be a member of the England Supporters Club and have been to an England game before.

Job done, but not very well. Good decison to drop James-he sucks! Defoe's goal was pretty special, nice little turn. All in all, not a very good game but we got the 3 points!
I saw brief moments of the Wales game and it looked a lot more interesting than the England game, 3 sending off's within 20 mins, and i think there was 2 goals by then too.

I can't stand Lilly Savage, I was laughing for ages when I saw that he had been sent off.

I think the best punishment for Savage would be if his club were to be automatically relegated to the Conference North along with Nuneaton. that'd teach him
