I think the script has already been written. A 0-0 draw against Croatia tonight, England will finnish 2nd in the group and lose to Portugal in the quarter finals. Skippy the Portugeese kangaroo will become a nation hate figure in England like Maradona did in 86 as he will dive and win portugal a penalty. Then when he goes back to play for Man Ure he will either get forced out of The Premiership and English football by fans, like Alpay of Turkey did or he will get his legs broken. Sorry to sound negative. On a bright note, if England win tonight and France draw we will win the group and then win a very tight game with Greece in the quarters.

i am seriously starting to doubt whether Owen will score in this tournament. and whilst it stays like this why does Eriksson insist on taking Rooney off for Vassel instead of Owen?!?

Rooney was on a yellow card, Sven took him off when he was confident we had the game won just to make sure Rooney wouldn't get booked and be suspended for the quarters.

yeah, i think that if they sharpen up defensively, they have a realisstic chance of atleast making the final.

Am I the only person that thinks England should be using the diamond formation. We need someone in a holding role just infront of the back 4. The problem is although we have players capable of doing the job, will they do the job. Lampard was mean't to do it in the friendly with Japan but he kept going forward. Thats why I was gutted about Butt getting injured. He aint World Class but he can do a job in that position.
